Instrument In God’s Hands - Power Of The Holy Spirit (Daily Devotioal)

Shalom and thank you for joining us to the last episode of this week, where we've been looking at how we can be instruments in God's hands. Today for our last meditation, we're going to be looking at how in order for us to be effective instruments in God's hands, we need the power of the Holy Spirit. Even as God calls us and He wants to shape each one of us in doing His purposes, we know that we cannot accomplish this in our own strength or in our own ability. It is only through the power of the Holy Spirit that anyone of us can effectively serve, minister and fulfill our calling. How does the Holy Spirit equip us or how does the Holy Spirit use us as His instruments? The Holy Spirit equips us for our service. It is the Holy Spirit that gives us boldness, gives us wisdom, gives us the ideas, the ability, the leading, the anointing to minister beyond. Our natural abilities are taken over and made super natural because of the anointing and the presence and leading of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit also transforms us inside out to reflect who Christ is. It is the Spirit who works in us to make us more like Christ, to make us more in His image, to make us in His likeness. It is the Holy Spirit who equips us with spiritual gifts. The Bible says that there are different kinds of gifts but the same Spirit gives them. Whatever gift that God has given you, whether it's teaching, serving, encouraging, leading, prophesying, healing- the Holy Spirit is the one who empowers us to ensure that we edify and build others up. The Holy Spirit gives us boldness to share our faith and to minister it with authority. God does not only want us to be effective in ministry; He also wants us to reflect His character. And that's where we know about the fruit of the Holy Spirit in Galatians chapter 5. It says about how the fruit of the Holy Spirit in us is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. This becomes an evidence of the Spirit's work in us. So, when we walk in the power of the Spirit, we become a testimony of God's transforming power. People will see Christ in us and will be drawn to Him through our actions, through our words and through our attitudes. You and I can only be effective instruments when we allow the Holy Spirit to take control and anoint us with all we need to be our witnesses. Let us pray together, Heavenly Father, we are truly grateful for the gift of the Holy Spirit, who enables us, anoints us and empowers us to do what we need to do. We pray that in everything that we do, we will invite the power and the anointing of the Spirit. May we trust and know that the Holy Spirit goes ahead of us to accomplish what He desires.
