Greetings and thank you for joining us today for a few moments in the word of God and prayer. As always, it's our joy and delight to spend these few moments with you. This week, we are reflecting on our identity in Christ and revisiting certain scriptures that teach us of who we are and what we have in Christ, so we can learn to live out of that. We go to Ephesians chapter 1 and verse 3 and the apostle Paul writes here, he says, "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms in Christ." So, the apostle Paul in His epistles speaks to us believers very often about our life in Christ and he uses this phrase in Christ, in whom, in Him, by Him, through Him, because of Him. He uses these phrases repeatedly or many times in his epistles to teach us about our life in Christ. And in Ephesians chapter 1, verse 3 is one of those verses where he's saying, let's bless God, let's praise God, God has been so good to us, blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ because He's done something for us in Christ. What has He done for us in Christ? He has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms. Now, let's think about that. What has God done for us? We know that this verse is in past tense. It means God has blessed us. It's not something God is planning to do when we all get to heaven, it's not something that God has planned when He takes us into the new heavens and new earth, then He will do it for us. Paul is saying God has blessed us, with what? With every spiritual blessing, that means with every blessing that comes from God. God is spirit and the blessings He gives obviously are spiritual blessings they come from Him. With every blessing that comes from God, God has blessed us. He's already made it available to us in heavenly realms, meaning in the spiritual realm. Now, we are living in the natural world, in the natural realm, but our life in Christ is a dynamic that's taking place in the spiritual realm, it's a spiritual union that we have. But in that realm, in that spiritual union, there's something that God has done for us. He's already provisioned us, provided us with every blessing that comes from Him. Now think about that, Paul does not say with a few blessings, with a couple of blessings, no, He has blessed us with every spiritual blessing. Every blessing that God can give, He has already assigned it or given it to every believer in our life in Christ. So that means we are not trying to convince God to give us something. Because God says, look I've already provisioned it for you, I've already given it to you, I've already put your name on it. So, we're not trying to convince God to give us a blessing of healing or give us a blessing to provide for our needs or give us a blessing to a job or whatever. Everything that God can give, He's already made available to you and me and why did He do that? So that we can take it and walk in it here on earth. So, our responsibility is to take what God has made available to us in the spiritual so that we can walk in it in the natural, that's something we need to learn to do. But think about this, you have been blessed with every spiritual blessing. God has already made it available for you, it's yours. Let's pray, Father, we ask that you'll help us grasp this truth to recognize that you have already blessed us that every spiritual blessing, it's ours! Teach us Lord, to take a hold of it and to walk in it here on earth, to live in what you've already provisioned for each of us as your children and we thank you for it, in Jesus' name, Amen.
