Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Hello everyone, thank you so much for joining. We are talking about the things that God wants us to be zealous and enthusiastic about. We talked about prayer and today, we are going to talk about pursuing unity and keeping the unity in the body of Christ. Let’s look at the scripture from Ephesians chapter 4 and verse 3, I’m reading from the Amplified version, it says, ‘make every effort to keep the oneness of the Spirit in the bond of peace.’ When we look at this in other versions, there are words like ‘endeavor’ that are used where Paul is urging the believers to do their best or to be very earnest in maintaining unity, very earnest in being peaceful or maintaining the peace among believers. The reason why we are asked to be united is because there is power in unity. We know that the word of God says where brothers dwell in unity, that God will command a blessing in that place and Gods anointing will be there as per Psalm chapter 133. We, as the body of Christ, Jesus said that they will know we are His disciples when we love one another. As we love God and we are committed and devoted to God, being united, having a heart for one another is another very key thing that we must be enthusiastic about. In Romans chapter 12 and verse 5, scripture tells, ‘so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another.’ Though we are individuals, we are different, we have a different story altogether as far as our walk/ journey with the Lord is concerned. We can still make an effort to remain peaceful with other believer and know that though we are different, we are all part of the same body of Christ. So, anyone who is born again, the bible teaches us that we are now part of the global body of Christ, the Kingdom of God. We all belong to the same Lord, in Ephesians chapter 4, verses 5 and 6, we read about that, that now we are part of the same Lord, which is why though we may have our personal differences, we have to make every effort to build that unity of the Spirit. This doesn’t mean that we compromise on the truth of God’s word but scriptures also teach us that we can speak the truth in love, we can uphold the standards of God’s truth while pursuing peace and unity with other believers. Sometimes, the peace/ unity among us could be disrupted because of several things and there are some things that scriptures warn us about, our personal motivations, pride that we may carry or selfish ambition, however, when we yield ourselves to the Lord and we are yielded to God and we are yielded and committed to the body of Christ, God will give us the grace to do things in such a way that we are promoting oneness of Spirit with other brothers and sisters. In Philippians chapter 2 and verse 3, we are taught that we must walk in humility, highly regarding our brothers and sisters. In this manner, we will be able to live out that life of power, peace and unity that God is truly seeking for. Let us be a wonderful testimony for the glory of Jesus’ name. Let’s pray together, Heavenly Father, we thank you for all that you are doing in our midst, in our lives, in our hearts. Even as we learn about unity, we pray that you will knit our hearts together, that we will be able to seek you together and see a mighty move of God in our nations, we give you thanks and praise, in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
