Daily Devotional church in Bangalore

Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Hello everyone, thank you once again for connecting and continuing in studying God’s word together. We are talking about being zealous for God, enthusiastic, earnest and diligent for the Lord and today, we will focus on being zealous for the glory of God. Now, as we look at some of the features that marked the early church, one crucial thing that we will notice is the fact that the glory of God was demonstrated powerfully among them. In Acts chapter 2, verse 43, I’m reading from the Amplified version, ‘A sense of awe was felt by everyone, and many wonders and signs (attesting miracles) were taking place through the apostles.’ It was but normal during those times to experience the supernatural power of God. Many wonders, signs in terms like miracles are used, which were taking place during the times of the apostles. This was happening a lot so we understand that people around were amazed by what was happening, the way the Spirit of God was moving among God’s people and especially in this situation through the leaders of the church. We also notice that this was not something that was limited to leaders in the church because in Acts chapter 6 and verse 8, there is an account of a simple volunteer in the church by the name of Stephen, and it says about Stephen that he was a man full of grace and power, was doing great wonders and signs among the people. It was the norm for the early church to walk in the supernatural, the glory of God and the power of God because God is a God who wants to reveal His love through His power. This is an example for us today as the church in the present times to pursue the Lord because we have the same Holy Spirit and we have the mandate just like the early church to share the power of God with others. Let’s be stirred up and let’s seek the Lord for more of His power to be revealed among us. I just want to remind us also that when it comes to the ministry of the Lord Jesus, He too was somebody who demonstrated the power of God. We see in Acts chapter 2, verse 22 that ‘Jesus of Nazareth was a man attested by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs.’ Jesus moved in the supernatural. Talking about apostle Paul, 1 Corinthians chapter 4, verse 20, where Paul says ‘the kingdom of God is not in word but in power.’ Not only did he preach but through his life, God’s power was revealed. The challenge for us today church is to preach the word in its integrity so that people are blessed and strengthened and at the same time, seek God for the power of the Holy Spirit to be revealed. As we look at people with various needs, we know that people are struggling with sickness, disease, discouragement, disappointment, lack, hurdles that they face in their journey, that we as God’s people, we can pray for them, we can declare the word, we can expect and desire the manifestation of the gifts of the Spirit. Even as we do this, we will see signs, wonders, and miracles will begin to erupt in a greater measure. Not that it is not happening right now, but we want to seek the Lord more for the glorious works of God in our midst. Let’s be enthusiastic about this and pursue the Lord for His glory. Let’s pray together, Heavenly Father, we thank you for giving us the empowering of your Holy Spirit. You said we are going to be witnesses with fire, so I pray let supernatural demonstrations take place through each of our lives as we reach out to people, pray for them and speak your name over their situations. We thank you that this is your will and you are going to show your glory, we bless and honor you, in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
