Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Word Power (Daily Devotional)

by Ps Nancy Ramya

Hello everyone, we are looking at God as the creator, His creative abilities. Today, we will talk about the word which He used to create the heavens, the earth and everything in between. As we read from the passages in scripture, we find that God encourages us as human beings to also use the power of His word. Jeremiah chapter 1, verse 9, it says, ‘Then the LORD put forth His hand and touched my mouth, and the LORD said to me: “Behold, I have put My words in your mouth.’ We will read verse 10 as well, ‘See, I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out and to pull down, to destroy and to throw down, to build and to plant.”’ God put His word in Jeremiah’s mouth when He called Jeremiah as a prophet. Now, every calling that God has for us, God wants something for the kingdom of God to be accomplished through that. So, it is right for us to say that Jeremiah had a work to do. When somebody has work to do they need to be given the tools to do it. What did God give Jeremiah to do the work that He wanted him to do? We see here that God put His words in Jeremiah’s mouth. So, God gave words and those words had the ability to do God’s work. What are these works? Verse 10, God wanted him to pull out or uproot evil and so God told him that my word will help you root out and pull down. So, the word of God, the authority of God’s word is able to destroy the schemes, the plots and the work of the enemy, satan. God also gave the words of Jeremiah which were His own words, the ability to build and to plant. So, today, as God’s people, we pray, Lord, let they kingdom come, thy will be done, what we are saying is we want to see the righteousness, the hope, the joy, the peace of God established in our world. For us to do that, for us to build a world like that, we need to go by what God is prompting us to speak from His word and by His Holy Spirit. As we speak those words of God, those words of power, we will be able to see an environment built up which is aligned to the way heaven is with the rule and reign of our God. Know the power of words; words can create, words can change circumstances, words can destroy the work of the enemy, they can also build for us the kind of life that God wants for us. I want to encourage us and leave us this scripture from Job chapter 22, verse 8, ‘you will also declare a thing, and it will be established for you; so light will shine on your ways.’ This is like God telling us, in some other translations it says, ‘you shall decree a thing and it shall be established for you.’ God wants us to speak His word and as we speak His word, we will see kingdom authority being released, we will see things turning around; the joy, the peace and the purity of the kingdom manifesting all around us. Let’s pray together, Heavenly Father, we thank you for the authority of your word. Even as we speak it, I pray that you will help us see the fruit of our words and continue to see your kingdom come, in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
