Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Womb (Daily Devotional)

by Ps Ashish Raichur

Greetings and thank you so much for another opportunity to come to you today, spend a few moments in the word and in prayer. We’ve been talking about the human spirit, who we are, what our spirit really is, and we’ve been doing this by looking at different pictures God uses to reference the human spirit. Today, I want to bring our attention to a very interesting Greek word that is used in reference to the human spirit, it is that of the ‘womb’. We know in the natural, it is the female who has a womb. Male, no womb; female, womb. Adam, man; Eve, wo-man, the person with the womb, that is in the natural. But in the spirit, remember, there is no gender, there is neither male nor female, we are spirit beings. The spirit of a person is compared to a womb. We find this in John chapter 7, verses 37-39 where Jesus is talking about the work of the Holy Spirit, He says, ‘he who believes in me, out of his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.’ The Greek there for ‘innermost being’ in some versions of the bible is out of his belly, but the Greek is literally referencing or means the womb, talking about the spirit. Out of our spirit, the work of the Holy Spirit is released. Out of our spirit, flow rivers of living water which is the presence and the power of the Holy Spirit. But our spirit is referenced as a womb. Out of the womb of man, the spirit of man will flow. When you think of the womb, what do we understand? We are talking about a place where conception happens, it is a place where something new develops and where something new is birthed. So, when God wants to release a work through you, He works through the womb of your spirit. He conceives that in your spirit, talking about the human spirit and then He lets that be developed in your inner person and then He enables you to give birth to it. So, every work of God that He wants to release through you goes through this process. God speaks to you in your spirit, so that He conceives it by His word, by His leading and direction and then He lets that be developed in your spirit and He causes that to be released through your spirit. So, remember, every vision that God gives, goes through this process. God can give you a vision, but the vision is conception in your spirit and then you pray, journey with God for that work to be developed in your spirit and then it is released and what is born of the Spirit is spirit, that is the true work that God wants to release to us. Many times, we depend on the flesh but what is born of the flesh is flesh. It will die and be burned up, it will not carry on for eternity, but what is born of the Spirit is spirit, that is the kind of work we want to give birth to for the kingdom of God. So, the womb/ spirit is a place where God works with us as the womb to release His pure work through us on the earth. Let’s pray, Father, we ask that you open our hearts and minds to understand these things so that we can give birth to your purposes, to your works, to the things that you desire here on earth, as Spirit to spirit, we co labor with you, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
