Daily Devotional church in Bangalore
by Ps Ashish Raichur

Greetings and thank you so much for journeying with us throughout this week, where we've reigniting our call to personal evangelism, recognizing that people around us need the Jesus we have. That as we bring them the message of Jesus and tell them our story, what He has done for us, what He means to us, we are actually addressing a need in their life. God has put eternity in their hearts, their eternal destiny hangs in the balance because even if they gain the whole world, it will not meet that need. They are like sheep without a shepherd, they need that direction and a shepherd of their soul in their lives, that they are people in darkness and God wants them in light, that they are people who are in prison, in captivity in some way or another and Jesus is the one who opens up those prison doors, that there are people around us who are broken on the inside and Jesus is the healer of the broken hearted. As we close out this week, I want to bring our attention to Ephesians chapter 2, verse 12, the apostle Paul writes ‘that at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.’ The apostle Paul is reminding us of our own condition without Jesus. He says, when you were without Christ, you were an alien and a stranger to God and all the wonderful promises, you were outside of that glorious country, you didn’t have citizenship and more importantly, you were without hope and God in this world. That is the condition of people around us if they are without Jesus. Without Jesus, they are without hope and God and they are outside of that citizenship in the kingdom of God which they could have and they are not brought in to the promises and covenants that God has made available to people. When we talk to people about Jesus, we are bringing to them Christ who is the hope they need, who will be the God in their lives and bring them into the family of God, give them citizenship in God’s kingdom and bring them under His glorious covenant, that is what we are doing for people. People need this Jesus of ours. So, let’s speak about Jesus, share Jesus with people whenever we get an opportunity. Let’s do it! Let’s pray, Father, we ask that you will stir up the passion to bring Jesus to people and you will help us recognize that as we share the message of Jesus, we are meeting needs in their life and things that will change the course of their eternal destiny. So, motivate us and stir us up to share Jesus with people, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
