Greetings! and thank you for letting us come your way today and take a few moments with you in the word of God and in prayer. This week, we are focusing on the provision of the cross, where we are just reflecting on what the Lord Jesus did for us on the cross and much of this is things that we already know, but it's good to be reminded. We've spoken of the fact that Jesus provided forgiveness for sins through what He did for us on the cross, which means that we are washed, we are justified, and we've been made righteous. We also saw the fact that through His cross, Jesus provided physical healing for us, so that by His stripes we have been healed. Also, another important thing that we want to focus on today is that through the cross, Jesus provided wholeness for us. We find this in Isaiah, the 53rd chapter and verse four, the bible says ‘surely, we esteemed Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we have been healed.’ Look at that part where it says the chastisement or the punishment for our peace was upon Him. That means the punishment He bore was in order to bring us peace and that word peace is the Hebrew word ‘Shalom’, which really means total well-being. Shalom in the Old Testament, really talks about well-being in every area of life, in every sense, spiritually, emotionally, physically, financially, socially, everything that is shalom, when everything as well you have Shalom. The punishment for our Shalom was on Him, that means the punishment He bore was in order to bring us Shalom, to bring us wholeness. That is why we say that one of the provisions of the cross is Shalom, total well-being, wholeness of the entire person, and this is great news because sometimes we have problems in the areas of our minds, our emotions or sometimes we have challenges in other areas of life, and we wonder is that covered under the cross of Jesus. We all accept the fact that our sins have been dealt with on the cross, some of us also have a little more understanding and we understand that physical healing has been provided for us on the cross, but what about other issues? What about other things? And here in Isaiah chapter 53 and verse 4, the Bible is telling us the punishment for our Shalom was on Him, that was through His punishment, total well-being, wholeness has been made available for us. So, today we are going to pray and whatever Shalom would be for you today, in whatever area of your life, you want well-being to come in, we're going to pray and as we pray, I want you to say, Lord I receive Shalom and I receive total well-being in this area of my life, it may be your finances, your marriage, your family, your children, your career, your job, whatever it might be, shalom means total well-being. Let's pray and receive Christ's provision for us through the cross. Let's pray, Father, we thank you that the punishment for our Shalom was on Jesus. Lord, we received the Shalom He provided, total well-being, we receive it O God, so I pray, and I speak shalom, total well-being into the life of each person listening, let your provisions and work that brings total well-being come into their lives right now, in Jesus’s name, Amen.
