Daily Devotional church in Bangalore

Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Welcome everyone, so glad that you joined in. We are learning about humility, and we are looking at some of the scriptures that help us understand humility better. We’ve seen that humility means walking submitted to God, walking obedient to God, walking, and relating with one another with the right perspective. Today, we will continue to look at relating with others. Let’s read a scripture together, this is from Colossians chapter 3 and verse 12, ‘Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put-on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering;’ We see here that we are encouraged to put on kindness, tender mercies, humility, meekness, and longsuffering in our interactions with others. Humility is an attitude; it is also a choice. Humility is not something that we imagine in our hearts and never really appears in our lifestyle, but it instead should be a part of our behavior, it should be a part of our words and in that way, we are able to express true humility. True humility is a choice and is expressed. When it comes to interacting with others, it is important for us to respect others and esteem them well and know that they carry a wonderful identity in Christ, just as much as we carry it. When it comes to what God has done in our lives, sometimes we can be so glad about those things that it could even lead to pride, but we must always recognize that whoever we are and whatever we’ve been able to see done in and through our lives, is because of the grace and goodness of God. This sort of an attitude will also help us recognize others and the great things that God is doing in their lives and to never put people down or look down on people. When we put people down, we tend to look down in a sense, but when we always remember what God has done for us, we tend to look up and we look at God as our source and that is the right way/ perspective for us to carry. I’m reminded of someone who walked in humility and who walked in humility with people and that is Joseph in the bible. We see that God exalted him greatly and he had every reason to be upset and angry with his siblings for what they had done but he remembered how God had been his help through those times of difficulty. When his brothers came to visit him during the famine, we see how he forgave them. He never held a grudge or gave place for a root of bitterness, instead he was humble, he recognized that this same God who helped him is the same God who is also able to help his brothers, no matter where they were with regard to their needs, where they were with regard to their attitudes. He extends generosity and forgiveness that comes out of humility. This is a great example for us to fall back on and remember that we need to employ humility in our relationships. Let’s pray together, Father God, we are grateful for the wonderful relationships that you have blessed us with. Help us to be people who will lift others up and to walk in humility, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
