Hello everyone, welcome. It’s great to talk about the victory of the cross and victory of the cross is victory that has been given to every single believer. We know that Jesus has given us authority over satan. We see that when He sent out disciples to do the work of God, even before the cross, He gave them authority and He sent them out to be victorious but sometimes there are questions about whether we, people who are on the other side of the cross are sent with that kind of authority. Well, as we look at Mark chapter 16, verse 17, it is very clear, Jesus as He is commissioning His disciples to come, He says, ‘these signs will follow those who believer, in my name they will cast out demons.’ We have been given delegated authority and we carry the authority of the name of Jesus and with the name of Jesus, we can go against satan and all his demons. We have victory over satan and every demonic assignment. When we consider the life of Jesus, we are told that He lived for the Father, to do the Father’s works and everything which was of the enemy, Jesus destroyed, whether it was sickness that satan put on people or any form of oppression, Jesus was there setting people free. So, 1 John chapter 3, verse 8 tells us that, ‘Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil’ and that is what He did for us. We also see in Acts chapter 10, verse 38 that ‘He went about doing good works and He destroyed the works of the devil.’ So, Jesus was very clean when He did His works, He lived to serve the purposes of the Father and to do destroy the works of satan and that is what each one of us as believers is called to do- to align ourselves to the purpose of God and to overcome satan. Not just in our lives but also in the lives of people that God brings to us, people that God puts in our lives to serve and to minister to. Let’s be bold and let’s enforce the victory of Christ in our lives and in the lives of our loved ones. Let’s pray together, Heavenly Father, we thank you for reminding us that we ought to live for your purposes and to overcome every assignment of the evil one. Thank you that Jesus has already finished the work on the cross. Thank you that we are already victorious, we bless you, we honor you, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
