Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Hello everyone, welcome. Thank you so much for connecting, it is such a joy to come to you with the word of God. This time around, we will take some time to meditate on the theme of healing and see what God’s word has to say regarding this. If we look at the passage in Isaiah chapter 53, which was a Messianic prophecy about the Lord Jesus and the redemptive work which He would accomplish on the cross of calvary, we see that there are many things that Jesus was to accomplish as Isaiah spoke and particularly when we look at verses 4 and 5, it indicates to us that He did a work of redemption as far as our whole self is concerned. I want to read for us that particular passage, Isaiah chapter 53, verses 4 and 5, it says, ‘Surely, He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.’ As we look at these verses, we understand that Jesus accomplished a great exchange for us, as far as our health and wholeness is concerned. When we see those words, in the Hebrew language, grief is the word ‘choli’ which is sickness, disease or malady. We also see the word sorrows in English which is the Greek word ‘makob’ that means pain, sorrow and grief. Even as we consider just these two words, we recognize that this work of wholeness that Jesus did on the cross, not only affected our physical bodies but also our soul. The soul is the seat of our will, emotions, our thinking. So, what we see here is that Jesus did something for the healing of our body as well as our mind. He did something for our body as well as our emotions. What Jesus has done on the cross of Calvary is a complete work of healing for each one of us. He accomplished the divine exchange for us. As we continue to read these scriptures, we also see that by the stripes of Jesus, we are healed, that word ‘healed’ there is from the Hebrew word, Rapha and going back to the covenant name of God that He revealed of Himself, Jehovah Rapha; Rapha is healer but it goes with the covenant or the solemn promise that God made to us regarding our healing. We are reminded time and again, even with just these two scriptures that Jesus has made a divine exchange. He has taken upon Himself our sorrows, our sicknesses and He was nailed to the cross and because He has already carried these things for us, we, in exchange can receive of His healing. No wonder, Isaiah said that by His stripes, we are healed. He is Jehovah Rapha who has healed us. Let us just hold on to His promises. Let’s pray together, Heavenly Father, we thank you for Jesus and for the divine exchange. We thank you that He has carried our sicknesses so that we can be whole. Even right now, I speak and declare wholeness and health over everyone listening. I command healing to bodies and minds. Thank you for touching each one of us, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
