Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Hello everyone, such a joy to once again be back as we meditate on the theme of healing. We know that the Lord Jesus has accomplished an exchange for us. He took our sicknesses, our diseases and in exchange, we now have health and wholeness. Today, I want to talk about the fact that the cross of the Lord Jesus, though it may seem like a picture of defeat because in the times when the cross was used as a punishment, it was a symbol of shame. However, we know from the word of God that the cross was really the wisdom of God and that Jesus triumphed on the cross and that the cross for us believers, is a symbol of great victory. What Jesus did on the cross is victory, He accomplished victory over satan. I want to read for us for Colossians chapter 2, verses 14 and 15, ‘having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.’ This is talking about Jesus and Him triumphing on the cross. When He did this, there is a picture that comes through in this verse and that is one of a king who has won victory over his enemies and so in this passage, we saw that Jesus made a public spectacle. In other words, Jesus triumphed over satan in such a way that satan has been thoroughly destroyed and he has been plundered, defeated. For us as believers, this is one thing that we need to have very firm in our hearts and minds, the fact that Jesus has triumphed over satan. We have several other passages that talk about this victory. Hebrews chapter 2, verses 14, once again over there it writes, ‘He destroyed satan, the devil, the one who had the power of death.’ We now, can be assured of the fact that this victory that Jesus has won for us is for us to walk in. So, I just want to remind us, when we think of sickness and disease which exist in the world, we know that it is not from God. This earth was corrupted by sin, right at the time in the garden when disobedience came in and from then, we see all the works of the enemy, several calamities, different things that are taking place. One is that satan comes against people and the other is the earth is now subject to corruption because of sin, but whatever it is, this is the reality that Jesus has conquered satan, sin and death on the cross. As God’s children, we can rejoice in the triumph of the cross and we can resist the devil. So, every time we encounter any form of sickness/ disease, we can stand against it. As the scriptures tell us, resist the devil and he will flee form you. I want to encourage us, God is for us and our bodies, resist the devil, he will flee from us because Jesus has triumphed on the cross. Let’s pray together, Heavenly Father, we thank you for your love and the victory of the cross. Even right now, I speak and declare the victory of the cross over the lives of people. I pray let healing be made manifest, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
