Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Greetings and welcome to another brand-new week as we begin this journey together in exploring God’s word and spending a few moments in prayer. We are continuing on the theme of total shalom. We are trying to explore what the scriptures teach us on how to live in a place of total shalom, perfect peace and so we are going to continue to look at scripture and understand what the scripture teaches us. We are going to go back to John chapter 16, verse 33 where Jesus said, ‘These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.’ Jesus is telling us that there is a place of peace in Him but He does alert us to the fact that in the world there are probably all kinds of troubles, trials or disturbances but He didn’t say, well, because of those tribulations, you cannot have the peace I am giving you. Instead, He said, you are going to have tribulations in the world but I have overcome the world and those things you are going to face. In other words, you can think of it like this that the Lord has preemptively addressed all these things that we are going to face, He has already taken care of it. He said, I have overcome these things, you are going to face it but I have already overcome it. So, the implied statement is you can have peace in me because I have overcome them and in me, you too will overcome. So, that is the connection we have to make, that He has offered us peace. He says, in me you will have peace. The world is going to throw all kinds of things against you but I want you to rest in this fact that I have overcome the world. So, here is how I apply this, when I face turbulence whatever that is, all kinds of things happen, when I look at those storms and turbulence, I look at it saying, Jesus has already overcome this. I’m facing it but He has already overcome it and I connect myself to the one who has overcome. So, in Him, I see myself overcoming this. I stay in a place of peace so that as I live in that place of peace in Him, one thing that is guaranteed, I also will overcome because I am abiding in the one who has overcome that tribulation, that trouble, that difficulty or whatever is coming my way. So, Jesus said, you are going to have tribulations, but be of good cheer, I have overcome, because He has overcome, I will overcome. So, I’m going to stay in a place of peace knowing I’m going to overcome, that outcome is guaranteed. Let’s pray, Lord, we thank you that we can love in total shalom, in a place of perfect peace. No matter what storm/ trial comes, we overcome because we live in you, the one who has already overcome, in Jesus’s name, Amen.
