Daily Devotional church in Bangalore
by Ps Ashish Raichur
Greetings and thank you for joining us on this week's Living Supernaturally. It's our joy to be able to come to you, spend a few minutes in the word and pray with you. We're going to focus on the theme ‘transition’ this week and just talk about various aspects of transition that we make in life in general. How we respond to the changes, the transitions that we experience is so important and we need to look at it with a positive perspective and understand the value in the transitions that we are called to make. Sometimes this may be put upon us because of situations and so on but as we learn to journey through transitions, we also actually can make progress. It all depends on how we handle these transitions. We begin this week by first of all stating that seasons do change. Life is lived in seasons and in life, there are many seasons. The Bible tells us in Psalm chapter 31 and verse 15 that ‘our times are in God's hands.’ One of the things about how God does things or works is in Daniel chapter 2, verse 21 that ‘He changes times and seasons.’ So, God is orchestrating the times and the seasons for each of our lives. He knows when and how these seasons in life should change and we are called upon to journey with God through each season that He has appointed for our lives. We learn how to walk with God and we also must prepare for the transition into the next season of our lives that He appoints for us. Just as in the natural, as we go through each year, each year has its seasons. Typically, there would be four seasons and we transition from one to the other. We are very aware on how we need to adapt to various seasons in the natural. So also, in the spiritual, as God changes times and seasons in our lives, we must learn to adapt. Now, keep this in mind, the Bible tells us in 2 Corinthians chapter 3 and verse 18, ‘we are changed from glory to glory.’ Each time, we move from one level of glory, from one dimension of what God is doing in our lives to the next, there is one necessary step and that is change. We must be willing to change because that is how we move from glory to glory. Transformation requires transition or transitions help us experience the transformation that we need and which God wants to bring into our lives. So, keep this in mind, change or transition will happen because life is lived in seasons and seasons come and go. Seasons do change! Let's pray, Father, we ask that you help us recognize when seasons in life are changing, when we need to make those transitions. Lord, help us to be willing to learn to change, to accommodate the change and move from glory to glory. We thank you that you are enabling us by your grace to journey from one season to the next, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
