Daily Devotional church in Bangalore

Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Hi everyone, welcome to Living Supernaturally. Thank you once again for giving us this opportunity to minister to you through God’s word and prayer. This week, we are talking about transformation and how God uses different means to transform our lives and this transformation is important because He is changing us from glory to glory. This week, we are talking about transformation through conforming. We read this wonderful verse, Romans chapter 12, verses 1 and 2, ‘I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.’ We all conform to something or someone in our lives. Less than 1% of our thoughts are original. The media play a powerful role in shaping who we are and what we think. We often become what people expect us to be. The apostle Paul coaches us and he exhorts us saying, do not conform to the pattern of this world, but to be transformed by the renewing of our mind. Conforming to the world is like removing the screen door to our minds and letting the bugs fly in. Transformation means refusing to comply to the evil influences of this world and the things that the enemy brings that can destroy our lives. Instead, conforming means to conform to the character of Christ. The exhortation that Paul presents is that since we have been gracious recipients of God’s mercies, we are to be living sacrifices to God. How do we do this? We are living sacrifices to God not by conforming to the world but being transformed by the renewing of our minds. Paul is using the word here to refer to the spirit of the age. We are not conformed to the world which is the spirit of the age. In other words, world refers to the popular world view that rejects God and His revelation. As unbelievers, we are naturally conformed to this world. As believers, we are naturally conformed to Christ. Just as we put on clean clothing after a bath, so we put on Christ. We need to ask Christ to dwell richly so that we can expect joy beyond limits, peace that passes all understanding, hope that overcomes despair and love that allows us to care for people. Today, let us begin to live out the character of our Lord Jesus Christ. Let us pray, Father, we thank you for today’s word, we thank you that you are teaching us day after day how to be transformed. This world has so much to offer but your word is greater than anything in this world. Your word says that ‘greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world’ and we pray that you will enable us not to conform to the patterns of this world but to conform to your word that will bring a life transforming change, we give you all the praise and glory, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
