Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Welcome everyone, we are talking about intimacy and I am really delighted to touch upon another theme here. We know that God wants us to draw near to Him and He has given us the revelation of who He is through His Son, Jesus. We also have the word of God; we have the work of the Holy Spirit continually helping us know our God better. Today, I want us to recognize that this is possible because of what the Lord Jesus has done for us. We know when we talk about the Old Covenant that it was only the high priest and the priests who were able to fulfill the duties in the tabernacle, the temple and so common man was only able to go up to a certain distance within the tabernacle. However, thank God that when the Lord Jesus died on the Cross for us, what God was really saying is that the limitation which was there in approaching God’s presence, that was removed and no wonder God gave us this symbol of the veil being torn that one could enter the most precious place in the tabernacle which is the holy of holies where the very presence of God rested. Let’s look at this scripture passage from Hebrews chapter 4, verses 14 through 16, it says, ‘Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.’ We are being told that the Lord Jesus has done something for us to have an audience in the very presence of God. Here, that place is being referred to as throne of grace. How do we come to that place of intimacy and the holy of holies? With boldness, we can come with boldness because the Lord Jesus has made a way. We also saw in this passage that He now is our great high priest, He became that sacrifice once which satisfied God’s wrath and He is also our great high priest and He has made a way for us to enter into the presence of God. This is a truth that we must never take lightly. Today, we can pray from wherever we are, we can pray anytime of the day, but by faith we know that we can enter the very presence of God which was not possible for people who are not part of the New Covenant. We have this privilege, we have an audience with God 24/7 and we can enter because of the Lord Jesus, we can come boldly into His presence and I pray that we will take that opportunity and encounter God again and again. Let’s pray together, Heavenly Father, we thank you for this truth that Jesus has made a way for us to enter your very presence. Enable us to continually reach your presence and experience all that you have for us in your presence, we thank you, in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
