Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Greetings and welcome to Living Supernaturally. Thank you so much for giving us this opportunity to come together, minister God’s word and pray. This week, we will be talking about commandments and the first thing that comes to our mind is the ten commandments that God gave to the people of Israel. Today, we will look at ‘there is only one God’. Deuteronomy chapter 6, verses 4 and 5, ‘Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.’ The text in this passage is called ‘shema’ and ‘shema’ is the Hebrew word for hear this’ or ‘listen’ and the command from Deuteronomy is the heart of Judaism. Many Jews who were facing extermination in Nasi camps during World War 11 often declared this word, there is one God, God exists independently of this world and God made this world. God loves this world so much, in His parting words to the people of Israel in Deuteronomy, the prophet Moses leaves no doubt about the love of God. He says, ‘love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul and strength.’ You and I must love our God in every aspect of our life. 1 Samuel chapter 2, verse 2 says, ‘There is no one holy like the LORD; there is no one besides you; there is no Rock like our God.’ 2 Samuel chapter 7, verse 22 says, ‘For this reason, you are great, O Lord GOD. For there is none like You, nor is there any God besides You, according to all that we have heard with our ears.’ John chapter 17, verse 3 says, ‘and this is eternal life, that they may know the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.’ Not only does this scripture testify of one God but it also shows us that the God of the New Testament and the God of the Old Testament is the same God. The God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob is the same God in the New Testament. There are number of statements un scripture which point and clearly state that there is inly one God. God has a genuine existence, hence the totality if scripture signifies, directs us to that one true, supreme God. If you and I truly love God, we will follow His commands in every aspect of our lives and in doing so, you and I will avoid the disappointment of following other false gods. It is not surprising that God says, I am one and there is no one else apart from me. Will you accept this God today? Let’s pray, Father, we thank you for your word and your commandments and you have said that you are the only true God, the one and only God. We just put our trust and hope in you and we know that you will be with us, you will lead and guide us and your presence will minister to each of us. We thank you that we can rest in this assurance that you are with us and you are for us, we give you all the praise and glory, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
