Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Hello and welcome to Living Supernaturally, our daily devotion, where we take time to look into the word of God and apply the truth of God’s word in our lives. Today, we are looking at the claims of the resurrection of the Lord. Some of these claims which point to the fact that the resurrection is a reality much like the birth and the life of the Lord Jesus. We can be convinced in our mind and faith can rise in our hearts as we put our faith in the lord who is the resurrected Lord of life. When we look at the lives of the disciples, the disciples were cowardly, they were full of fear at the time of the crucifixion of the Lord but we see that they went about preaching Christ after the resurrection. Their lives were changed completely and even as they were filled with the Holy Spirit, the promise of the Father, as they met with the Lord, encountered the resurrected Lord, we see that their lives were radically changed. They didn’t hold back from sharing the message of Christ, the fact that He died and He rose again and that newness of life is found in His name alone. So, they went to the uttermost parts of the earth with this message and they didn’t care about their own lives. These very same disciples who ran away in fear, in fear of their own lives, of their own safety, here we see them, each one of them, being martyred for the sake of Christ. They were so strong in the preaching of the gospel, they were so convinced and convicted of this truth, that they were willing to lay down their lives, they were willing to preach and be willing to be persecuted for their preaching, they were willing to even face death for the sake of this. Which goes on to prove that they lived their lives for this very thing, they were not afraid. Who would want to lay down their life for a lie? This was the truth, they had experienced the truth, they had seen it unfold right before their eyes and nothing could shake them as they lived a life of great faith and as they lived a life which cost them their own lives. All 11 of them we see were martyred for their faith. Another thing we see is that lives are still being transformed today in our day and time. As people put their faith in the Lord Jesus, as they experience the power of resurrection in their own lives, as the experience the newness of lives in their own lives, we see that people’s lives are being changed. We see that people having lived a life of addiction, sin, leading a completely different life, having put their faith in the Lord Jesus, coming and experiencing the newness of lives, we see that their lives are completely transformed. The word to use there is transformation because such a drastic change. We see persecutors becoming preachers of the faith as in the case of Saul. Saul was persecuting the church, he dragged people and he arrested them because they were following the teachings of the Lord Jesus. But he came to a point when he encountered the risen Lord and after that encounter, he started preaching the very faith that he was against. We see all through history, lives being transformed because of this one thing, the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. Be convinced that it is a reality and let the Lord Jesus change our lives from the inside out. Shall we pray? Father, we thank you for the reality of resurrection. We thank you for the power of resurrection that is at work through your Holy Spirit in our hearts today. We invite you to have your way in us and we pray that we will live for you boldly, courageously, passionately and that we will live lives of integrity and holiness because this is what matters. We give you all the praise and glory, in Jesus’ matchless name we pray, Amen.
