Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Hello and welcome to Living Supernaturally, welcome to this daily devotion where we spend time in the word of God and we hope that you are greatly encouraged even as we look into it the word. The word of God gives us revelation, the Spirit of God highlights these truths to us and writes these truths upon our hearts. Even as we receive these truths, we are empowered to live for Him and we are set free because He leads us into all truth and truth sets us free. Today, we are looking at some of the things that we have in our life because of what the Lord Jesus did for us on the cross and because He rose again. Romans chapter 6 and verse 4 has this to say, ‘Therefore, we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.’ This newness of life, the word used there is ‘Zoe’ which means God kind of life and not ‘bios’ which is biological life. This spiritual, extravagant, buzzing, God kind of life is what we are invited to, is what is our possession and in fact we are commanded to walk in this newness of life. This newness of life is a life that is free from sin, it is an overcoming life. With this newness of life, we are able to live the way the Lord Jesus did and the way He ministered, we have this newness of life in us. It is a great privilege and what we need to do is to embrace this identity, embrace the fact that we have received this new life which is ‘Zoe’, the God kind of life. We also see that this life, this newness of life is something that gives life to our mortal bodies. Not only are we empowered to live the way the Lord Jesus did and also because of the empowering and anointing of the Holy Spirit but this newness of life gives life to our mortal bodies and enables to us to overcome some of those things that happen because of our mortal bodies. Let’s look at Romans chapter 8 and verse 11, ‘But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.’ This verse tells us that the resurrected Lord, that he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to our mortal bodies. This physical body is mortal, it has an expiry date beyond which it will not function on the earth, that is the reality for everyone. But we see here that through His Spirit who dwells in us, Christ gives life to our mortal bodies. We know that at one point in time, we will have glorified, resurrected bodies in the future, but at present, because of the Holy Spirit who dwells in us, who raised Jesus from the dead, He is giving life in our mortal bodies to live for Him, to overcome the limitations of the flesh. Shall we pray? Father, we thank you, for you are the Spirit of life and you speak words of life. We thank you that you indwell us and you give life to your mortal bodies to live overcoming lives so that we don’t have to give in to the appetites of the flesh, that we can overcome and we can be walking as overcomers, as victorious ones and we don’t have to identify with the rest of humanity and say we are just humans, because we have the resurrection life of the resurrected savior in us, we thank you, we give you all the praise and all the glory, in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
