Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Greetings! Thank you for the opportunity to come to you today, it’s our delight every day to be able to minister to you, share God’s word, mediate, reflect, think, learn, and grow together. This week, we have been talking about the potter, the clay, based on Jeremiah chapter 18, verses 1 through 6 and also parallel scriptures in the New Testament that teaches us that we are earthen vessels, that God is seeking to make us vessels of honor, fit for the Master’s use. So, we are reflecting on the fact that God is the potter, we are the clay, God is at work. Today, I want to focus in on the potter’s process. You see as God works on the lump of clay, there is a process through which the lump of clay goes through before it can become that finished product/ vessel. We touched upon a bit of that process yesterday as we saw the lump of clay on the potter’s wheel and the wheel rotates at various speeds and the potter begins to shape it, he adds moisture/ water to the lump of clay to shape it. But there are additional things that the potter does as he works with this lump of clay. There are times when he uses different instruments to start designing the clay, he could use instruments to bring about some markings on the inside/ outside of the clay and then he could work on the clay to dry it, to harden it, sometimes he may even place it in an oven to bake the clay, to heat it, and subject it to certain levels of temperature depending on the clay and what he is trying to accomplish; harden it thereafter he may bring color, add painting and make it look good. So, there is a process involved in which the potter takes the clay through. Which means there are various stages/ phases in which the potter is working on this clay, taking it always towards the finished product/ vision that he had for the lump of clay.

So, God works in our lives taking us through various stages/ phases/ seasons of life, as He works on us. In each of these stages, He is accomplishing something very specific; there is a stage where He is giving shape to us, there is a stage in which He is drawing certain markings, those characteristics on us, there is a stage in which He strengthens us, maybe He is subjecting us to certain hardening process but it is all for our good, there is a stage in which He brings those beautiful colors put upon us and is all for our good, taking us towards that finished product. It is for us to recognize each stage, work with Him and corporate with Him in each and every stage He takes us through. Make the right transitions from stage to stage, celebrate what He is doing in us, at each stage, enjoy it and give thanks to Him for it. Remember, the potter works on your life through various stages/ phase. Understand what He is doing, work and corporate with Him because ultimately, He is taking us to that finished product. He knows how to get us there. Sometimes the stages may seem hard, but He is taking us to the finished product. Let’s pray, Father thank you, help us to understand each stage/ phase that you take us through as you work on us day by day. Thank you, Lord, in Jesus’s name, Amen.
