Daily Devotional church in Bangalore
by Ps Jeyakumar Isaiah

Hello and welcome to Living Supernaturally. We so glad that you could be part of this daily devotional of All People's Church, where we look into God's word to study and to apply something daily. Today, we are looking at the fact that the Lord Jesus or the Lord Himself, He reveals Himself to us. He chooses to reveal Himself to us in many different ways and this revelation, this facet of who God is changes us, it changes our walk with Him, it instills faith in us and it edifies us in the inner man, this spiritual revelation this understanding and we grow in our understanding of God. So, the Lord asked Peter this question and He said ‘who do you say that I am?’ And when Peter responded He said, flesh and blood has not revealed this to you but my Father in heaven. So, we can get information through natural means, through flesh and blood but it is the Father, it is the Holy Spirit, the triune God who reveals more of Himself and He delights revealing about Himself to us. So, today we look at a way in which He has revealed Himself to us that is as the Passover Lamb. 1 Corinthians chapter 5, verse 7 says, ‘therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us. Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven nor with leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.’ So, it says here that Christ was our Passover Lamb. In the Old Testament, we see that the Passover Lamb was supposed to be a lamb without blemish or any kind of spot or blemish, it had to be perfect and it was separated from the rest of the flock for about 3 and 1/2 days. This passover lamb, this lamb which was separated was slain, it was killed and the blood of the lamb was sprinkled on every doorpost and lintel. So, we see that this this lamb was the shadow and type of Christ being our lamb and literally the Lord was slain for us and His blood, His sacrifice and His blood is something that was shed for us, so that we can appropriate personally. Just like every person who could had to apply personally the blood of the lamb on the doorpost and the lintel of their home in order to experience the protection when the angel of death would pass by, in order to experience the protection they had to do it personally for themselves. So also, Christ being the Passover, the one perfect sacrifice without any sin, He was sacrificed for us, His blood was shed for us and scripture talks about in Hebrews chapter 10 it says that ‘for by one sacrifice, He has perfected forever those who are being perfected.’ So He's that perfect sacrifice, He's that Passover Lamb for us today and He's perfecting us and He has perfected us. Shall we pray in thanksgiving, Father, we thank you, that you are the Passover Lamb. Lord, we thank you that you carried upon yourself everything that was sinful, the very nature of sin itself, the sin of humanity you took upon yourself and Lord by your blood that was shed for us, in your blood there is protection, in your blood there is salvation and Lord we receive this gratefully, we receive it with thanksgiving. We thank you for that great sacrifice on the cross and we appropriate and receive everything that that sacrifice has brought about in our lives. We thank you that you have perfected us and continue to perfect us, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
