Daily Devotional church in Bangalore

Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Welcome back and thanks for tuning in. Welcome to living supernaturally, in this edition, we are actually doing a study on our spiritual health. We're looking at various factors that affect us spiritually and what we can do to make some corrections so we can thrive spiritually, which is the will of God for our lives. Today, we're going to look at one check or a test that shows us how we're doing spiritually and that check for that test is called the ‘love check’. This is what we read in Matthew chapter 22, verses 37 to 39, the Lord Jesus answering the scribe, He says, ‘you shall love the Lord, your God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it, you shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ So today, as we do this test, we can ask ourselves this question, has my love for God grown cold? Or is it passionate, or am I passionate about God, about His word, and is my love still passionate, red hot? The second question that we can ask is, has my love and compassion for people, for God's people, has it grown cold, has it diminished? In Revelation chapter two verses 4 and 5, the Lord Jesus when He is giving a report to the churches, He says this to church in verse four, ‘nevertheless, I have this against you, that you have left your first love.’ So, we might think this love, this emotion, this love for God, this adoration, is it a big thing, is it a big deal. Obviously to God, it matters it matters quite a bit where He says, that you have left your first love. In Revelation chapter two and verse five, He says, ‘remember therefore from where you have fallen.’ So today, if we feel, if we sense that our love has gone cold, there could be several reasons- it could be because of intentional sin, where we had planned and premeditated and done some things to cause grief in God's heart or it could be unintentional sin, maybe we've sinned and we've not got back, you have not confessed or repented. Or maybe there is prayerlessness in our hearts, maybe there is lack of fellowship with other believers. Now our love could have grown cold because of all these many reasons. But now we can get back. It's time to return to our first love. Shall we pray? Father, we thank you, Spirit of God, we thank you for speaking to us, if our love is strong may it be stronger. But if our love has grown cold, I pray that it will be stirred up and whatever has caused our love to grow cold, I pray that you would forgive, that we will repent and come back, return to our first love. We thank you, in Jesus’s name, Amen.
