Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Greetings and welcome once again to Living Supernaturally. It is such a joy to come together to mediate on God’s word, spend a few moments in prayer. Today, we will be talking about the gift of righteousness. Romans chapter 5 and verse 17, ‘For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.)’ Children, what will you say if I asked you to throw away your most treasured toy into the garbage? Young people, as you look to the future, imagine being asked to forget about your main goals about marriage or your education? What about the things that you have right now, maybe some of our most prized possessions, it could be a house, a car, a career, a stock portfolio? Righteousness is a legal term which says to have a right standing before God. In other words, your right standing before God is based upon Jesus’ right standing before the Father. The apostle Paul was one of the most successful young men in his community, he had the right credentials by birth, by learning, and life experience, yet he was willing to consider all of this rubbish. Why? Certainly not for an easier life or for fame or for glory. He knew that letting go was the only way to receive God’s gift of righteousness through faith in Jesus Christ. Today, you are righteous as Jesus because your righteousness is from Him. He purchased it for you on the cross. So, when you and I receive the Lord Jesus as our personal savior, He took away all unrighteousness once for all and He has given us His gift of righteousness. This righteousness is not something that we can obtain on our own achievement or through our right doing, it can only be received by your right believing in Jesus. Are you holding onto something that is preventing you from stretching out your hand and receiving this God’s gift of righteousness by faith? Sometimes we hold onto our achievements but the Lord Jesus is asking us to let go of it. The gift includes forgiveness of sins, a new life of service to the Lord and eternal life. Everything that we have achieved in our life, may look strangely dim in the comparison to the gift of God’s righteousness through faith in Jesus Christ. Receive Him as Lord and the gift of righteousness will be yours. Let’s pray, Father, we want to thank you for your goodness and your mercy upon our life. We thank you for the cross where you shed your blood for us, you gave your life and you took us from a place of being unrighteous to being called the righteousness of God. Thank you for this gift and we thank you that it is not from our own doing but it is you who has given it to us. We pray that we will walk with this understanding that we are righteous children of God. May our lives glorify you all the days of our life, in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
