Hello and welcome back to Living Supernaturally, the daily devotion of All People's Church, we're so glad that you could be here. Today, even as we look into God's word, we are looking at the way God reveals Himself in so many different ways. In fact, He asks the question ‘who do you say that I am?’ He asks that question to Peter and Peter answers and the Lord says this is a revelation from the Father. So, the Lord delights in us getting a revelation from God the Father, getting a revelation from the Holy Spirit even as we wait on Him even, as we study His word. This revelation strengthens us, this revelation edifies us in the inner man and changes our walk with Him for the better. Just like the Lord asks Peter, I'm sure that He is asking us this question, who do you say that I am in your life and life situation, who do you say that I am? Well the Lord reveals Himself like this in these words in Revelation chapter 22, verse 13 He says, ‘I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.’ He says I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet. The Alpha, the source, the start, the cost and the Omega, the end, the close, the final purpose to which all things relate and head towards. So, He's the Alpha and He is the Omega. John chapter 1 and verse 1 says, ‘in the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God, and the Word was God.’ Verse 14 says ‘the word became flesh and dwelt among us.’ So He is the pre-existent one, He is the preeminent one, who is that? The Lord Jesus and so this is the revelation that we get that He is the first, He is the beginning, He is the source of everything in our lives and He brings to completion, He brings to maturity everything in our lives. He brings to completion our faith, He brings to completion the very purpose that we have, He brings everything to completion in our lives. So, without the Lord we are nothing but with Him everything begins, He gives us a new start, He is the Alpha, He gives us a new beginning and He brings us to a purposeful end in in our lives. Even as we journey with Him, He brings our life to a purposeful completion and maturity, He's our God and if He's asking us this question, we can boldly say Lord you are the Alpha and Omega in my life. If we look at Hebrews chapter 12, verse 2 it says ‘looking unto Jesus the author and the finisher of our faith’ which means He's the start, the source, the beginning of our faith and the completion, the maturity of our faith. Philippians chapter 1 and verse 6 has this promise being confident of this very thing that He who begun a good work in you, will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.’ So we have this Alpha and Omega journeying with us, journeying with you today so you can boldly declare and say I have the Alpha and Omega with me, He is my Lord, He is the source and He is the perfector. Let's pray, Father, we thank you that you reveal yourself as the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end in our lives. Lord, we thank you that the things that we need oh God which needs to have a new beginning, we pray today that you will start something new something fresh in us. Lord, we pray that things that we've been praying for to come to maturity and completion in our lives, we pray that you will bring it to pass God because you are the Alpha and you are the Omega, we thank you in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
