Greetings and this is Christmas week, a time when believers all around the world together with their families and in churches around the world celebrate what took place 2,000 years ago, in God sending His son into our world to be the Lord and savior of every person whoever believes in Him. For God so loved the world that He gave, He sent His son Jesus and it's that week that we celebrate. Of course it's throughout the year that we are so grateful and thankful for the coming of our Lord Jesus but it's always good that at this time of the year for us to especially focus in on the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. So, this week, what we want to do is study one passage from the book of Hebrews, Hebrews chapter 1, verses 1 to 4 and look at the various aspects of the incarnate Christ revealed to us in this passage. What does the scripture say about this Jesus who came into this world 2,000 years ago as given to us in Hebrews chapter 1, verses 1 to 4. Let's read that and let's begin to look at it throughout this week, meditate and ponder and reflect and thank God and worship God based on what we see concerning the Lord Jesus Christ. Hebrews chapter 1, verses 1 to 4, ‘God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in times past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by his Son, whom he has appointed heir of all things, through whom He also made the worlds; who being the brightness of his glory and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on High, having become so much better than the angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.’ These four verses are power packed revealing to us the various facets of who Jesus Christ is. We can literally spend you know several hours studying and examining these four verses and each aspect of Jesus Christ as revealed to us in these four verses. I encourage you if you'd like to just take some time this week just to keep on meditating on these four verses and trying to draw out of it everything it tells us about the Lord Jesus Christ. We'll just highlight one each day. What I want to bring our attention to is verse three, the express image of His person. So, who is this Jesus? He is the express image of His person or the exact representation of God. So, who is Jesus? He is the exact representation of God or He is God revealed to us in human form perfectly, without any variation from who God really is, this is Him the exact representation of God. If you would like to put it in a simple term He is the true picture of God, this is the real picture of God, look at Jesus that's who Jesus Christ is. So, if you and I wonder what is God like? Who is he? What would God say? What would God do in any situation? What would God speak to me in any situation? Look to Jesus because He is the exact representation of God. This is what God would say, this is what God would do in that similar situation. We have the gospels recorded for us where we see this exact representation of God going through real life situations. He was in the middle of a storm, He met the sinners, He met the sick, He met the hungry, He met the demon possessed, He went through life situations and what did He say and what did He do, that is the exact thing that God would say and do in all of these life situations he hasn't changed so Jesus Christ is the exact representation of God. If you want to see God, see Jesus. If you want to hear Him, know Him, see Him, see Jesus. Let's pray, God, we ask that you'll open our eyes to see, open our ears to hear, open our hearts to understand God in the person of Jesus Christ, thank you, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
