Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

The Army (Daily Devotional)

by Ps Jeyakumar Isaiah

Hello and welcome to Living Supernaturally. We have been looking at God’s blueprint and design for us as God’s people and this is something like what a blueprint does, when we look at the design God has for us, we can develop ourselves into it. We can build ourselves into the picture that God has for us because that is His will, plan, and desire. Today, we are looking at God’s picture/ design that He has for us, and He calls us as His army, in other words, we are the army of God. Philippians chapter 2, verse 25, Paul writes to the church in Philippi, and he says, ‘Yet I considered it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, fellow worker, and fellow soldier.’ Again in 1 Timothy chapter 1 and verse 18, ‘This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare.’ We see that there are a lot of military terms, soldier, warfare and so on. In a spiritual sense, we are the army of God which means that as individuals, as soldiers in the army, we are engaged in spiritual conflict. As we live, we live with the sense of spiritual militancy, knowing how to resist the enemy, who is the devil, knowing how to discern his schemes by being strategic, aware and knowing how to overcome to temptations and other schemes of the enemy and giving them no access in our lives, that is how we live as soldiers in the army of God. As soldiers in the army, we need to know that we are armed and dangerous to the enemy. Do we have that revelation that we are actually armed? We are armed with the armor of God and the resources God brings our way and we are indeed dangerous to the enemy himself. We need to know that we have weapons that are mighty in God, these are spiritual weapons and not carnal or earthly but heavenly, spiritual weapons and we need to know that we have weapons that damage and create confusion in the enemies ranks, these are spiritual weapons. We need to know most importantly how to use these spiritual weapons, God gives us these, but we need to know how to use them in battle and we need to be strategic because our lives need to be lived purposefully and strategically, as a soldier would live his/ her life. We need to take care of the wounded as the army of God, there may be causalities, people who fall by the wayside and we need to take care as the army does. We need to celebrate our victories as well as the army, as the Lord leads us in battle into victory. It is important for us as the army of God, as a soldier in Christ, in the army to know the word, to engage in prayer, intercession, worship and to maintain our focus on the Lord Jesus. All that we see here is very important, the instructions for us as the army of God, as soldiers engaged in spiritual conflict. Shall we pray? Father, we thank you, that we are called to this, we are called to battle. This battle is not carnal, but it is spiritual. We pray that even as we conform ourselves to this image that you would prepare us, equip us, train us that we would know that we have been resourced, weaponized by you and we have been given spiritual weapons to wage this spiritual warfare, we thank you that you are with us and you go before us, in Jesus’s matchless name we pray, Amen.
