Daily Devotional church in Bangalore

Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Shalom and welcome to another series of Living Supernaturally. We thank you joining us this morning to learn and to mediate on God’s word. Today in our new series of devotionals, we are going to be looking at the truth of God’s word for all of us but specially for the youth and for that I have Jeremy, a young person and he will be sharing his thoughts with us and alongside with him, we will be looking into God’s word for direction and guidance.

So, I had some thoughts that I would like to share. As a young person, everything around me encourages me to be free and to make my own decisions to be happy, either a movie, or a post that I see or even some of my friends they tell me to find my own way and make my own decisions to be happy. Many people I see around are getting all their needs satisfied and everything that they want, and sometimes it is really hard to choose between these decisions and what God wants me to do.

Now that is such a relevant and a pertinent difficulty and I’m sure all of us here do face these similar challenges. But what often happens is we fall into a trap, and we compartmentalize our real lives and our spiritual lives. So, at a time, we may be reading the word of God, going to church, and praying but it fails to really transform and influence us. This is something that the word of God talks about and let’s just look into God’s word to find that answer. Reading from Psalms chapter 119 and verse 9, it says, ‘How can a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to your word.’ No matter what your age is, whether it is a young person like you, or somebody older, we all face temptations, it could be addictions, or our carnal desires but there is this one way to overcome all of this and that is what our verse says for today, it is by heeding God’s word. God’s word is an instructional book to life, it is also something that cleanses us, has the power to change us. Today when we are looking at different things in our lives, whether we are young at heart or age, or spiritually, it is God’s word that helps us to overcome things around and things that we see in our lives. What does the word of God call us to do? It is to take God in every area of our lives. We see that in Proverbs chapter 3, and verses 5-6, it says, ‘Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on our own understanding. And in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your path straight.’ Take God in every area of your life, how do you do that? It is by committing to reading and meditating on God’s word, heeding God’s word. The more that you mediate and read His word; you will see that things change in your life.

So, Jeremy, heed God’s word in every area of your life and do what it says. Shall we pray together? Heavenly Father, we thank you, for your word that is instructional for our lives, the word of God that cleanses our way not just for people who are young but for all of us, we pray that we will concentrate on learning your word, meditating on your word and doing as it says for in it, we have life and peace, thank you, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
