Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Greetings! and thank you for yet another opportunity to come to you and spend some time with you in prayer and in the word of God. This week, as we are considering resurrection power and looking at what the apostle Paul spoke to us on how this power is at work in us, we are just following what he has written for us in his epistle to the Ephesians. We saw in Ephesians chapter one, where Paul says, I want you to know the exceeding greatness of God's power towards us who believe, it's the power that He exerted, that He wrought when He raised Jesus from the dead. Ephesians chapter three, he says, you are strengthened in your inner man by the resurrection power. Ephesians chapter 3, verse 20 he says, God works much more than what we can ask or think by that resurrection power, that's at work in us. Then we come to chapter six, he says in verse 10, ‘Finally brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.’ Be strong, that means you are strengthened, be strong in the Lord, your strengthened in God and in the power that comes from His strength. Of course, he continues from there to talk about conflict, wrestling with the powers of darkness. So, if you put it in the context of what he started telling us in chapter one, he's saying, when you are standing and wrestling against these powers of darkness, understand that your strength is in the Lord, it's coming from the Lord, and you are receiving His power to confront demonic powers. What is that power he said? It is resurrection power, it's the power that raised Jesus from the dead. Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might, that resurrection power as you wrestle against principalities and powers and darkness, all those wicked forces, you are standing up against them with resurrection power. This is the same power that already over through all of them together. Now when you and I, in our conflict, we are not facing all demons together, each of us have our own battles, we might be dealing with one or two or three evil spirits, demons, demonic angels are trying to trouble us and so imagine it's the resurrection power that's strengthening you and me. We are strengthened to overcome every demon, every evil spirit that's coming up against you. So, of course, we have conflicts, Paul said that you have to put on the full armor of God and stand against all the wiles of the devil. That is true, Paul said, we have to do that. But in that conflict, he said, brethren be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might, meaning in the power that comes from His strength. What is that power? It's the same power that raised Jesus from the dead. So, the next time you think you're in conflict with the devil, don't think you are powerless, never ever think like that, think resurrection power is strengthening me to overcome every evil spirit of darkness. They have no chance, I am guaranteed to overcome because of resurrection power, that's what's available for us who believe. Let's pray, Father, we thank you for resurrection power by which we can stand strong and overcome every spiritual demon and every demon that comes against us by your power that's available to us, thank you, in Jesus’s name, Amen.
