Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Stirred Up (Daily Devotional)

Greetings! and thank you once again for the opportunity to be able to come your way, spend time with you and share things with you that will bless your heart and strengthen you in your walk with God. This week, I've just been sharing a few stories from my life, the early days and trust that each of these will be a blessing to you. One of the things that when I look back and try to look at those early years of my life, four years in school and then off into another four years in engineering college, there were many things that I stepped out to do. So, in Bangalore, in my school days, I was leading work in three different schools, plus another Bible study, ministering to people, doing different things. I started writing letters that I started sending out to people, to minister the word of God to them, which I believe led to what we were able to do today, which is write books and send them out, but it had a beginning in those days as I was writing letters and notes to people. I went to engineering college, I was able to establish a fellowship for students that impacted the lives of many students who came on, in the years thereafter. Seeing the work of God right from those early days and one of the things that really led me to do these things; when people ask, did you have a dream, did you have a vision, did an angel appear? Did you have any special visitations from God? None of that. But in all of those things, there was just a simple stirring in my heart, to do that particular work for God and I just stepped out into that. So, what I want to share with you today is that many times God leads us through a simple stirring in our hearts and we follow that stirring, a mighty work of God takes place. So, this is what Nehemiah says, Nehemiah chapter two, verses 11 and 12, he says ‘So, I came to Jerusalem and was there three days. Then I rose in the night, I and a few men with me; I told no one what my God had put in my heart to do at Jerusalem; Nor was there any animal with me, except the one on which I wrote.’ Notice what Jeremiah's saying, God had put it in my heart to do this work in Jerusalem. How did Nehemiah know what he had to do? No angel came, nobody prophesied, no vision, it was simply something God had put in his heart, and he stepped out to do it. That's how God leads us very often. We do believe in prophecies, we do believe in dreams, we do believe in supernatural visitations, but many times God leads us by just dropping something simple in our hearts to do and then when we step out, a work of God takes place that blesses the lives, maybe of 10, maybe of hundreds or thousands of people. So don't miss what God puts in your heart. Take it, step out on it, and the work of God will take place. Let's pray, Father, we ask that you help us recognize things that you drop in our hearts to do for your kingdom, whether it's a small thing like calling somebody or starting a new work, help us to recognize and respond, in Jesus’s name, Amen.
