Greetings, thank you so much for journeying with us through this week. We were just encouraging our hearts on the subject of success, letting us know that God will cause us to be successful, that as we trust in the Lord, He will bring us into pleasant places, He will bring us into places of honor, of promotion, of influence, He will do that in our lives. I want to close off our learning on success with this admonition from Psalms chapter 30, verse 6, where the psalmist said, ‘Now in my prosperity I said, “I shall never be moved.” ‘In my success, I said, I will never be moved. This is very important. You see, times of great success, like times of great failure are also times of great vulnerability. We are most vulnerable in our most successful moments just like when we are most vulnerable in our most difficult moments. Great success or tragedies put us in this place of great vulnerability. More people fall from their place of success because they are not careful. The psalmist said, in my success I said, I will not be moved. That means, he still had his feet on the ground, still maintained a level head even as he was being successful. He didn’t think it was happening because of him, or that he was entitled to it, but he knew it was because of the goodness and mercies of God. We must be like that, that as God causes us to be successful in whatever we are doing, we are all doing different things, but as God blesses our lives, causes us to be fruitful, successful and prosperous and brings increase, promotion, and brings us into pleasant places, never be moved. Stay focused on God, stay focused on doing a good job on whatever God has assigned to you and me, stay focused on being a blessing to people, on serving others. In your prosperity don’t lose focus, don’t be moved or distracted. Let’s pray, Father, we thank you, for your goodness in our lives. Thank you that you do bless and prosper us, you cause us to be successful in whatever we do. Give us the grace that in our prosperity, we will not be moved, we will stay focused on the assignment or the work what you have called us to do, do it well, in Jesus’s name, Amen.
