Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Welcome friends, we are still talking about the Holy Spirit. Today, we will talk about the Holy Spirit as the Spirit of the Fear of the Lord. These names of the Holy Spirit are from Isaiah chapter 11 and verse 2. One of the beautiful names of the Holy Spirit is that He is the Spirit of the Fear of the Lord which means that He is able to help us walk a life worthy of the calling that we have. He is able to help us walk a life of holiness and of purity. While talking about the Holy Spirit, John the Baptist remarked in this manner in Matthew chapter three and verse 11, he said, ‘I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I'm not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.’ The work of fire is to purge, the work of fire is to consume the things that are weak, the things that are not precious and finally, what remains is what is worthy. What God is saying is that through the Holy Spirit, He can cleanse us, He can cleanse our soul, He can cleanse our mind, He can do a lasting work of purity and holiness in us. We as believers, we want to live a life that is pleasing in the sight of God. In our own strength, we will never be able to do it. We have to depend on the word of God, to renew our minds, that enables us to walk the straight path, but in addition to that, we are told that we have to keep yielding ourselves to the working of the Holy Spirit. As we are filled with the Spirit, as we are baptized with the spirit, what happens is that the Spirit of God cleanses us from within. So today friends, I want to encourage us to open up our hearts. Let's not try to do this on our own. We need the working of the Spirit of God in us, to help us live that life of holiness. In Ephesians chapter five and verse 18, we are reminded once again, ‘be filled with the Spirit, walk in the Spirit.’ So, let's do that, let's allow the Spirit of God to work deeply in us and in this way, we will be able to do all that God wants us to do. Also make time to pray in the Spirit, pray in the gift of tongues and as we do that, we know that our inner man is strengthened, and the works of the flesh are burnt up. So, we have to make a way, we have to yield ourselves to the work, the cleansing work of the Holy Spirit because He is the Spirit of the fear of the Lord. He will help us walk the right path to glorify God. Let's pray together, Heavenly Father, we thank you that you go before us enabling us to live this life the way you want us to live it. May we walk worthy of our calling, always pleasing you and lifting up your name, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
