Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Greetings, it's so exciting to be studying about the Holy Spirit and to understand how He leads us, how He strengthens us, how He guides us. Today, we will look at the Holy Spirit as the Spirit of knowledge. He is the Spirit who brings us supernatural knowledge. There is an incident when Jesus meets a Samaritan woman and in talking to the Samaritan woman, He tells her condition, her lifestyle and the very things that are happening in her life. In John chapter four, verses 16 to 20 this is what happens, ‘Jesus said to her, “Go, call your husband, and come here.” The woman answered and said, “I have no husband.” Jesus said to her, “You have well said, ‘I have no husband,’ for you have had five husbands, and the one whom you now have is not your husband; In that you spoke truly.” The woman said to Him, “sir, I perceive that you are a prophet. Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, and you Jews say that in Jerusalem is the place where one ought to worship.’ Jesus, without even knowing this person, is able to tell her that the person that she is with, is not her husband. She acknowledges that fact and she's amazed, she calls Jesus a prophet, somebody who is able to foretell things or somebody who is able to have supernatural knowledge. How is it possible? Jesus was empowered by the Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit can impart knowledge that we do not carry naturally. Another incident is in the life of Simeon. We read about him that through the Holy Spirit, he knew that he would not die until he sees the Messiah. How did all these individuals know something that they could not know in their natural capabilities? It could only happen through the power of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit being God is omniscient, He knows all things, He knows the past, He knows the present, He knows the future. Depending on what it is that we need, He is able to take pieces of information and release it to us. When we pray, when we depend on God, we depend on the Holy Spirit, He is able to give us this information that we need to keep moving forward. This information could be helpful for our own lives because we may not know what decisions we need to make or while praying for somebody, when we speak forth something about that person's life, it greatly blesses that individual and we see that this is called as a gift of the Holy Spirit, the word of knowledge which comes through the Holy Spirit. So, we can bless others with this kind of information or in our own lives, God is able to guide us, lead us, by providing the knowledge that we need. No knowledge is outside of the Holy Spirit’s scope. He is able to reveal those things to us and we can run with those things, and we can live a winning life. Let's pray together, Heavenly Father, we thank you that God, you are so gracious that you impart to us from your knowledge. You know all the things that we need today to keep running this race and Lord, we pray that you will bring revelation to our hearts, strengthen us, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
