Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Greetings and thank you for this opportunity to come to you today. Today is Friday, we are getting close to the end of another week. We trust you have had a good week in your walk with God, in your journey with the Lord and we trust that as you have been listening to these daily devotionals, you are being encouraged, strengthened, and being instructed and that God is speaking to you concerning this area of money. Today, we want to talk about another aspect that we find in scripture, where the bible talks about money as seed, that is very interesting. God is telling us to look at money like seed and a strong passage on this is in 2 Corinthians chapter 9 verses 6-10, where Paul is writing about money and people giving money to the kingdom of God and the work of the ministry, that is the context in chapter 8, 9 and 10. He is talking about money and he then suddenly uses this picture of sowing seed, when it comes to giving money. Obviously, when you sow seed, seed grows and multiplies and he brings that truth out, in relationship to money. He says, ‘if you sow sparingly, you will reap sparingly but he who sows bountifully will reap bountifully’, this is verse 6. He says, you give a cheerful giver and in verse 8, he says that as you give cheerfully, this is what we have confidence in that God will make all grace abound towards us, so that we having all sufficiency, in all things, will abound to every good work. He goes on to say that as we disperse abroad, our righteousness increases or endures, and God is the one who multiplies the seed that we have sown. It is an interesting thought- think about this, every time you give for the cause of the kingdom of God, whatever amount you sow, maybe you give to your local church, or you give to somebody who is serving God or doing the work of the ministry through some ministry or kingdom work, whenever you give to the cause of His kingdom, you are sowing the seed. In other words, you are releasing something into the ground, which God Himself will multiply back into your life, so much so that Paul assures us that God will make sure that we have more than enough for ourselves, and we will be able to abound to every good work. What if you and I consistently did this? That is, we just kept sowing seed, no problem, just keep sowing seed and the harvest keeps coming back to your life through time. Remember this, be a consistent sower, keep giving into the kingdom of God every month. Whatever God has enabled you to give, give and you will see your life increasing, this truth will come into effect in your life. Let’s pray, Father, even as we learn how to handle money, thank you that you are the God who blesses us, you multiply the seed we sow and you cause that increase to come into our lives so that we can abound to every good work, we can do all things that you have called us to do, may this become true in each of our lives, in Jesus’s name, Amen.
