Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Shalom and we welcome you to another series of devotionals that we start afresh today. We are going to be meditating on God's word and looking at a very important quality for all of us as believers to possess and this is the wisdom of God. God's word is replete with many instructions on attaining His wisdom. We see through scripture of the importance of living in the wisdom of God. So, even as we go through our devotions this week, we are going to be looking afresh at the source of wisdom. Reading from scripture, Proverbs chapter 2, verses 6 to 7, ‘For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding. He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk uprightly.’ We see that wisdom is an important quality that God wants to see in us. He wants us not to be wise with regard to the world but have the wisdom of God. The bible is very clear that this wisdom comes from the Lord, it is He who gives and grants wisdom. This wisdom is a gift that comes out of the generosity of God. In other words, it does not come from our own knowledge or from our own understanding or from what we have learned or accomplished but it is something that God gives out of His bountiful goodness. Scripture says that God is the source of all wisdom. We read that in Colossians chapter 2, verse 3, which says ‘in Christ, is hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.’ Christ is the wisdom of God, not only is He the source of wisdom, but we know that He is wisdom and that everything that comes from Him is supreme. Every knowledge, every understanding that comes from Him is supreme. One of the ways that we know about God's wisdom is through His word. The verse above spoke to us and said from His mouth, come knowledge and understanding. You and I have access to that wisdom, as we learn and as we read and as we reflect upon God's word in a greater way. We also see that wisdom comes as a result of our relationship with God. This wisdom is available to both you and to me, for all of us who have entered into a relationship with Him. This verse says He stores up wisdom for the upright. So, He is the one who gives us wisdom as a result of our relationship with Him. When we walk in wisdom, when we walk in the wisdom of God, it stands as a shield and a buckler to us. No matter what you are going through today or what decisions you may need to make, it maybe to do with your family, with your business, with your work, remember that Christ is that wisdom and you can approach Him if you are in a state of confusion because He is a storehouse of wisdom, and it comes in your relationship with God. Let's pray, Heavenly Father, we see the true wisdom ultimately comes from you and in a right relationship with you. Help us, Lord, in every turn of our decision making today, that we will seek after your wisdom, Lord, we will look into your word and out of our relationship with you, that you will give us your knowledge and understanding to go on with our daily life. We thank you once again for this privilege, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
