Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living
God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.
Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

Greetings and thank you for joining us today for our daily devotional. This week, we are talking about overcoming wrong thoughts and the third insight that we want to bring to us from God’s word is that we have a sound mind. One of the problems many people express is that they are not able to focus or what we would refer to as, they tend to have wandering mind, it is all over the place and they are not able to focus and suddenly goes off into strange thoughts, wrong thoughts and it is wandering here and there and unable to focus. Now, we got to deal with that. The bible tells us in 2 Timothy chapter 1, verse 17, ‘For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.’ That means a mind that has a sound concentration, understanding and focused. This mind doesn’t wander here and there, running off into strange and wrong thoughts, no, it is a sound mind. So, you begin to affirm about your own mind, God has given me a sound mind, that what the bible says, a sound mind, concentration, focus, memory, it is alert and sharp and a mind that will stay focused, that can concentrate, it is not a mind that is wandering here and there, it is a mind that can concentrate. So, you declare that I have a sound mind, a sound concentration, I can focus, I reject everything that causes disturbances in my mind, that causes my mind to wander here and there, that causes my mind to think wrong things, no, I have a sound mind and concentration. I can focus my thoughts on things that are good, pure, holy, pleasing to God. Take hold of God’s word and declare that over your mind, you have a sound mind with a sound concentration and you will focus your mind on things that are pleasing to God. Let’s pray, Father, we thank you for your word and we declare over our minds that our mind is holy ground and we have a sound mind with which we can concentrate and focus on things that please you, thank you for that, in Jesus’s name, Amen.
