Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Greetings and welcome to Living Supernaturally, thank you so much for giving us yet another opportunity to come to you, minister God’s word and spend a few moments in prayer. Today, we will talk about sitting at the right hand of God. Hebrews chapter 1, verse 3, ‘He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.’ The phrase ‘sitting at the right hand of God’ is a symbolic way of speaking of power, authority, might and dignity of God. The throne at God’s right hand is the chair of authority, might and dignity, occupied by God’s Son, Jesus Christ, the King of Kings. It affirms that Jesus has equal status to the Father with the Godhead. This also means that Jesus is the ruler of all things and that the kings of the earth rule according to His sovereign commission. At the beginning of history, when God had finished all His creating work, what did He do? Genesis chapter 2, verse 2 says, ‘He rested.’ Does that mean that God sat back and did nothing? No! It means that God had accomplished all that He had set out to do and that now He reigns over it all. We get the same picture here of Jesus. We have learnt a lot about Jesus in these few verses. At the beginning of Hebrews, where He made purification for sin and now after providing purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven. Jesus has accomplished everything that He has set out to do and now He sits at the right hand of the Father. This doesn’t mean that Jesus is sitting around doing nothing. To be seated at the right hand is to reign, actively ruling over all the work and development of God’s eternal, universal kingdom. Jesus became human, one of us for a purpose, that main purpose was to provide purification for sin and when He accomplished that, the Father restored Him to His rightful throne in heaven. From there, in heaven, He rules and reigns with the Father and until the time Jesus comes again. We are not waiting for Jesus to enter His Messianic reign; He enjoys it right now. All of His enemies have been put under His feet. What does this mean for us? Jesus accomplished purification and salvation for us and we do not have to earn our own salvation. Now, Jesus sits and reigns at the right hand of the Father, holding all things in a place of authority and dominion. He is inviting us to be seated with Him in heavenly places. Let’s pray, Father, we thank you for your word which says that you are in complete authority and in complete dominion. We pray that we will learn to walk in this authority. Your word says that you destroyed and disarmed every principality, every power of darkness on the cross and you triumphed over them through the cross and we pray that each one of us, no matter what season we are going through, we will walk in this authority and know that we are with you and you hold all power and authority in your hands. We give you all the praise and glory, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
