Daily Devotional church in Bangalore

Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Shalom and welcome to a series of lessons from a kitchen and through the series, I'd like to take you through some of my routines, some of the things that I pick up from my kitchen as I spend my time there. One of the most important tools in a kitchen is a knife and most of you who work in the kitchen would know that a dull knife is a useless one and sometimes even a dangerous one and it could slip up on you, you could get cut, you could spend more time in the kitchen trying to cut your vegetables working with a dull knife. And this reminds me of something that scripture talks about as to how iron sharpens iron. Let me read from scripture, it says in Proverbs chapter 27 and verse 17 ‘as iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.’ Like I said, a dull knife can be useless, and one way of sharpening a knife is to sharpen it at just the right angle, so that you get a sharp knife to cut. This proverb shows us two things, it shows us that constant fellowship with other believers, helps to build each other up. Think of a time when you probably have needed a friend or needed a believer to walk alongside with you just sharing with them, just praying alongside with them, definitely brings a smile on your face, it definitely throws up your countenance and that's what scripture says, we need each other, we need each other to build ourselves up, to encourage us, to work with us through times that may be difficult. Another thing that this proverb teaches us is sharpening each other spiritually, that through our interactions with other believers, we learn to grow, we grow in God's word, we grow in communion with each other, we also improve each other's faith, we build each other up and we see that a fellowship where there are people who love God, not just brings us closer to God, but brings us in unity with one another. So, wherever you are today, if you need to connect to somebody, share a word of encouragement, share a word of faith or just maybe be there with an open ear, that's what scripture shows us to do, as iron sharpens iron, let's sharpen one another, let's build one another, let's build a community that grows in the love of God. Shall we pray together? Heavenly Father, we thank you for our church, we thank you, for our believer friends, thank you for people who we work together, thank you because you have given us people who engage with us, who encourage us, who sharpen us. May we sharpen each other with your word, with your testimony, with faith. Thank you because you grow us as a community who loves you. Thank you once again for your word that speaks to us in different ways, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
