Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Say Boldly (Daily Devotional)

by Ps Ashish Raichur

Greetings and thank you for joining us today on our daily devotional. This week, we're talking about overcoming depression and just sharing some insights, things that you and I can practice to get ourselves out of a place of being down and depressed and low or sometimes hopeless, sometimes lack of zest and energy and zeal about life, sometimes in a place of despair, just given up, how do we come out of those things? Some simple practical insights; first we said recognize the problem, why are you cast down? Second, we said hope in God, you can still be positive because of God, you can still have an upward look because of God. Here's the third thing we can practice, we can see say boldly about who God is in our present situation. In Psalm chapter 40, verses 1, 2 and 3, the psalmist finds himself in a horrible pit. He says, ‘I waited patiently for the Lord and He inclined His ear unto me and He brought me out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay and He set my feet upon a rock and He put a new song and established my goings and He put a new song in my mouth even praise to my God and many will see it and put their trust in the Lord.’ So, sometimes we find ourselves like the psalmist in a horrible pit and a miry clay meaning it's bad here but what did he do? He waited patiently for God, that as he put his hope in God and he realized that God brought him to this place, where God set his feet upon solid ground. So, you and I, even though we find ourselves in that very low, depressing, cast down, despairing situation we can still say my God was bringing me out, He's putting my feet on solid ground, you begin to declare what God is working out in your life. It may be a process, it may be a journey, it may not happen in a moment but you begin to declare, God is putting my feet on solid ground, God is bringing me to a pleasant place, God is bringing me out to a broad place, God is bringing me to a better place and He's going to put my feet on solid ground, He's going to make all things new. He's going to bless me in whatever area you are recognizing pain or struggle, declare God's blessing in that area, He's putting my feet on solid ground. Say boldly what God can do and what God is doing in your life. Declaring that is going to throw off the spirit of heaviness, it's going to throw off the spirit of despair, this spirit of hopelessness and it's going to keep you strong and positive because God indeed is working even when we don't feel like He's working. So, affirm that God is working in your life, say boldly the promises of God. Let's pray, Father, we thank you that in our worst situations, we can still say what you have declared, we can say who you are and what you are doing in our life because you are truth and your word is truth, in Jesus’s name, Amen.
