Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Greetings! and thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to spend a few moments with you today, share the word of God with you and also pray with you. This week, we want to take a few moments each day to look at the word of God and learn about how to overcome worry, how to live worry free. Given all that's going on in our world today and the impact it has had on many lives and could be even our own lives in some ways, things that cause us to worry are so numerous. There could be news that we hear in different areas of our lives, things that actually happen, events that take place, all of these things that just cause more and more anxiety, more and more tension, more and more reasons to worry. Some of us may be so troubled, so disturbed by this that we may find it hard to sleep through a night, maybe we've never had a peaceful night's rest for a long time and we wake up every morning, just determined to get through the day and so it goes on night after night, day after day, we're struggling through and the main reason is worry, anxiety, there is tension that's on our minds for various things. But God is our answer, He has given us His word and has taught us, He has spoken to us and told us how to live worry free and so we want to spend time this week just discovering those things and trying to apply them to our lives personally. I want to begin today by just talking about what the bible tells us in first Peter chapter five, verses six and seven, Peter writes, he says, ‘therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time. Casting all your care upon Him for He cares for you.’ Peter is telling us, with all the things going on in, if we just humble ourselves before God, He will lift us up, He will exalt us, He will cause us to rise above all the challenges we are facing, He will exalt us in due time, but until we see those kinds of things happening, he says, cast all your cares, all your worries, your anxieties upon Him because He cares for you. You and I can come to a place where we have actually thrown our cares, it's like unloaded our cares, just take them off our back, put them on somebody else. We can actually come to that place where we are worry free because whatever is causing us worry, we have actually casted on the Lord, so to speak or we have rolled it over onto Him or we have just thrown it on His side, and He cares so much for us that He will deal with those matters that actually cause us worry. But we must learn how to do that, how to come to a place that we can actually throw our cares on the Lord. That's what we want to uncover from His word, each day of this week. But today let us pray and ask the Lord to help us to cast our cares on you Lord, because we know you care for us. Let's pray, Father, we bring all the things that might cause us worry, things about the job, about the family, about the children, about our future, about people, family, extended family members, whatever it might be that causes worry, we cast it on you knowing that you care for us, so much for us, that you will handle these things that cause us worry and teach us this week how to live worry free, in Jesus’s name, Amen.
