Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Revelation (Daily Devotional)

by Ps Ashish Raichur

Greetings! and thank you so much for this opportunity to be able to come to you and spend a few moments in the word of God and in prayer. We trust that each day you are staying encouraged in the Lord, strengthening yourself in God because our strength comes from Him, the Lord is the strength of our lives, He is our light and He’s our salvation. This week, we're talking about feeding on the word of God, on God's word and we're trying to understand some things that are involved in consuming spiritually, in spiritually digesting, receiving the word of God so that it can nourish our inner person. We talked about illumination yesterday, how we need to ask God, ask the Holy Spirit to help us see things we've never seen. And as the Holy Spirit illuminates His word, we need to receive revelation. Revelation is not only being able to see, but it's also being able to understand spiritual things. See in the natural, when somebody understands a concept, understand something we say, okay, I've got a grip on it, it's part of our learning, it's part of our understanding, it’s part of our intelligence, but that's understanding something in the natural. In the same way, we need to understand spiritual things, things about God, about His ways, about His truths and understanding spiritual things, we call as revelation. The apostle Paul when he wrote to the believers in Ephesus in Ephesians chapter one verses 17 through 19, he prays for them, ‘that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him.’ That means he is saying, I want God to give you wisdom and revelation so that you can know Him. Then he also prays that they will know three more things, at first, he says, knowing Him, then he says in verse 18, ‘the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling,’ that is what is the purpose of His calling? ‘What are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints.’ What are the great things, inheritance God has given to us as believers? And verse 19, ‘what is the exceeding greatness of His power towards us?’ So, he's saying, I want you to receive revelation, I want your eyes to be open so you can receive understanding for four things, that you may know Him, know God, know the purpose of His calling, know the inheritance He has given to us as the saints and know the power that He has made available to us. So, when we spiritually understand these things, we say, we are having revelation, we’re receiving revelation of His word. So, as you read the word of God, God help me to understand, give me revelation of who you are, of your purpose for my life, of the inheritance you have given me, of the power you've made available to me, give me revelation, that means spiritually, I get a grip on this and then I start living by it. That's what you and I must look for when we read the scriptures, illumination, and revelation. Let’s pray, Lord, we ask you to help us open the eyes of our understanding that we may know inside of us, what you've given to us, who you are, in Jesus’s name, Amen.
