Resurrection Power - Flow Of Power (Daily Devotional)

Greetings! and thank you for another opportunity to come to you today and bring the word of God to you. This week, we've been talking about resurrection power, we've been looking at various aspects, of how the resurrection power of God works in us, works for us and works through us, we're just looking at different aspects from the New Testament. Today, I want to bring us to another passage of scripture in John chapter seven, verses 37 to 39, this is Jesus’s speaking, when He was in the temple, I'll just read out what He said, ‘If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’ Verse 39 says, ‘but this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified. ’Jesus was talking about what the Holy Spirit would do when He came upon the believers, this would happen after his ascension. The Holy Spirit, His work in us would be released through us like rivers of living water. So, the Holy Spirit is not only working in me or in us, as believers like we said, He's strengthening our inner man's and strengthening us to confront demonic powers as we said in the previous days, but He is flowing through us, there is the flow of resurrection power through us, that rivers of living water are representing the flow, the release of the resurrection power of the Holy Spirit through us. Imagine, not only are the recipients of resurrection power that works in us and for us, but we are also channels, conduits or dispensers of resurrection power that is released through us to touch other people. Can you think of this? Other people are going to be touched by the resurrection power of God that is released through you because the Holy Spirit is flowing out of your inner person, out of your innermost being will flow rivers, will flow resurrection power to touch other people. Now just think about that, that the power that's flowing out through you and me, is the resurrection power so that when we minister to people, when we come into contact with people and say Lord release your power to touch that person, touch their lives, minister to their needs, what is God doing? Jesus put it like this, rivers of living water will flow out of your inner person, that resurrection power of the Holy Spirit will be released through you and me. See now, you and I as believers, we need to believe that that we are channels, we are conduits, we are dispensers of resurrection power. The same power that raised Jesus from the dead is the power that's working in us, for us and through us. So, the next time you pray for a sick person, the next time you pray for somebody's situation, the next time you pray for somebody's problem, say God, I want your resurrection, I believe your resurrection power is released through me to bless that person, nothing is impossible, this life giving, quickening power of the Holy Spirit will be released to touch their lives. Believe that, expect that and that's what Jesus said will happen and that's what should happen through every believer, through you, through me. Let's pray, Father, we thank you, that there is a flow of power, that there is a flow resurrection power through our lives to touch other lives so they can experience the resurrection power of the Holy Spirit. We pray this will take place through us over and over and over and over again Lord, touching many lives, in Jesus’s name, Amen.
