Hi everyone, it's such a joy to be together with you and meditate on God's Word. Today, we'll talk about releasing God's work and one important aspect for us to understand. We know that God chooses ordinary people to do extraordinary things. Let's begin by reading a couple of scriptures. We are reading from Psalm chapter 78, verses 70 and 71, ‘He who chose David His servant and took him from the sheepfolds; from following the ewes that had young, He brought him, to the shepherd Jacob His people, and Israel His inheritance.’ This portion of scripture talks about David and the way God picked him up. He was just an ordinary shepherd boy obeying his father's commands but God had a greater purpose for him and God called him to be king over his people. Little would David have imagined that he is going to be king one day and this is not just a story of David, but we have several other people in scripture who experienced something very similar. We could talk about the disciples of Jesus. Peter was a fisherman, uneducated, and several others were just like him, and yet we see that God had a great purpose for them to extend His kingdom. We saw a Rahab who was interested in helping God's people and because of her passion for God, we see that God included her in the genealogy of our Lord Jesus Christ and God picked someone so unlikely. This is not just for the few people but there are several others in the Bible whom we can look at and see that they were the most unlikely candidates. But we have to understand that God works His purposes out through His people. He could do it through angels or any other heavenly beings that He chooses and yet God chooses to co-work with people and all God wants is our dependence on Him and our obedience to Him. The people whom we talk about were able to fulfill the purpose that God had for them because of their obedience. Now let's also understand that in our evaluation, some of the assignments that God gives us may seem very small. We may look at certain assignments and say, oh wow these are great assignments and I would really want to be a part of the big assignments. But no matter how people perceive the assignments of God, we know one thing, whether it is a small assignment or a big one, God finds each one notable and in God's sight, all He seeks is our faith and our obedience. So, we just want to encourage each one of us to respond to God and be willing to co-labor and co-work with Him in, in order to see His call and His purpose fulfilled in our lives.

Let's pray together, Heavenly Father, we thank you for placing a call on our lives. We thank you that your plans for us are greater than what we have for ourselves. By faith, we walk in them and by faith, we see them fulfilled in our lives. We thank you for your love for each one of us, in Jesus' name, we pray, Amen
