Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Hello everyone, we are talking about ingredients for success and today I want to share with us this ingredient that is talked about everywhere and that is excellence. In whatever God has given us to do, we need to be excellent. Now the best example for us is in the life of Daniel. Daniel was a man who gave himself to many activities, we see that he had incredible wisdom, he was interpreting dreams, he was working for the king, he was into various studies as well, studying plants and different things. So, he was a man who was engaging with everything that he had to perform all his duties with excellence. In fact, Daniel chapter five and verse 12, we see the king remarking and saying that here is a man who has a spirit of excellence. Now the other thing for us to realize is, that this spirit of excellence that Daniel carried was really the empowering Holy Spirit who is available to us today. So, if Daniel in his generation could walk with excellence, we can work with excellence in whatever we are called to do. Colossians chapter three and verse 23 it says, ‘and whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men.’ So, we're called to do things with our everything, we are called to do things to honor God, to bring glory to God and please God and that calls for us to do our highest and our best. So simply put, excellence means doing our highest and doing our best. Now just a note for us here, when we talk about excellence, many of us get overwhelmed because we compare ourselves with others who are doing better than us and we look down on ourselves, but excellence is not about comparing with others, it's about doing our best. So, just want to encourage us to keep our eyes fixed on progress and not on perfection. When we do our best, God sees our heart, He sees our ability and He sees the effort that we're putting in and He blesses our works. So, let's do our best and not be overwhelmed in anyway. Let's pray together, Heavenly Father, we pray God for your help in our lives and we ask that you will give us the grace to be excellent in everything and God that whatever we do will glorify your name, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
