Daily Devotional church in Bangalore

Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Purpose (Daily Devotional)

by Ps Nancy Ramya

Welcome friends, such a joy to study God’s word with you. We are talking about living a powerful Christian life and the things that cause it to be powerful. Today, I want us to focus on living with purpose. A purpose driven life makes the Christian life powerful. Even when we look at the life of Jesus, it was a life with an aim, it was a life with a goal and a purpose. He didn’t live His life aimlessly and we need to follow the example of our Lord Jesus. Luke chapter 19 and verse 10 says, ‘for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.”’ It is very clear why Jesus came, He came to save the sinners, He came to seek and save those who were lost, those who were far from Him and He also knew that He must pay a price or a ransom for this to happen which is why He willingly kept His face as a flint and He went forward and made that sacrifice on the cross of calvary for us. Let’s continue to see the purposeful life of Jesus, all that He did and accomplished. We see that He came to do the will of the Father as John chapter 6 and verse 38 tells us. He came to be the light of the world, in John chapter 12, verse 46. He came to bring us abundant life, as John chapter 10, verse 10 says and He came for us to have the good news, to experience the good news of God and to share the good news to the world. Jesus lived a life of purpose and each one of His disciples needs to live a life of purpose. When our life is purposeful, our life will be powerful. We can also see the examples of many men and women of God, who lived to do what God called them to do. We also see things like ‘calling’ in scripture, where God gave a certain anointing to men and women, you have the apostle Paul, you have Timothy who was called as a leader of the church, a pastor, a bishop. So, God called different ones with a different anointing to do what He wanted them to do through their lives. Today, as we consider our own lives, it is good for us to seek God to understand His purpose for us and to ask Him what that anointing would be, what that grace would be so that we understand why we are living here on the face of the earth, at this time. I’m sure God has a plan; God has a purpose and He wants to accomplish that through you today. Let’s pray together, Heavenly Father, we are so grateful that you have created us with a design, with a destiny, with a plan and a purpose. I pray that each of us will discover it and thrive in it, in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
