Daily Devotional church in Bangalore

Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Greetings! and thank you so much for another opportunity to come to you today, spend a few moments just reflecting on the things of God, learning about the ways of God so that we can grow together, be encouraged together, in our journey of faith. This week, we've been reflecting on what it means to be after God's heart. What does it mean to be a person after God's heart? and how to live that out practically in everyday life? We've looked at various aspects of this over the last few days and today I want to just present to us, another aspect of what it takes to be a person after God's own heart. It means we protect our heart from other things. Our heart is the core of our being and it's with our heart that we pursue God and to be a person after God's heart, you've got to intentionally protect your heart, from being taken over by anything else. There are many things that will try to come into our hearts, it could be the desire for other things, it could be the cares of this world, it could be hurts and offenses and things people say, all kinds of things can come in and try to take space in our heart, but a person who's after God's heart is a person who protects his heart and keeps it exclusively for the God he is pursuing. That means my heart has room for only one, for the Lord Himself, that I guard my heart with all diligence, keep it safe, protected, knowing that this is hallowed ground because this is the place that's solely for Him in my life. So, protecting our heart because when other things begin to crowd in, press in, my heart's divided and God wants an undivided heart. He wants a heart that is wholly or fully His. That's why He says in His word, you will love the Lord, your God with all your heart. Now that word all is very small, but it means everything, with all of you. He didn't say with some of your heart, that's 50% of your heart, 90% of your heart, He said all of your heart, you love Him. That means all of my heart is for Him, which means I protect my heart, I do not allow anything else to get in there. I say God, this is sacred ground, it's meant for God. Guard your heart. So, to practically live out being a person after God's own heart, it means I protect my heart from any kind of evil thing, wrong, anything else so that I can with all my heart, go after Him, pursue Him, keep my heart pure, blessed are the pure in heart because they are the ones who are going to seek God, they're the ones who want to encounter God, it's sacred ground. Protect your heart so that you can be a person after God's heart. Let’s pray, Father, we ask that you help us guard our heart, protect it, keep it sacred, keep it holy, keep it consecrated, keep it dedicated just for you, in Jesus’s name, Amen.
