Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Greetings and thank you so much for journeying with us throughout this week, day after day, as we have been learning on how to test personal prophecy and prophetic words. We’ve just been outlining different tests that we can apply to personal prophecy that we receive and prophetic words that are given to us at a personal level. The last test that I would lie to highlight for us is the question, does this personal prophecy glorify Jesus and further His Kingdom? Jesus said in John chapter 16, verses 13 and 14, He said, ‘when the Holy Spirit comes, He will speak and guide us into all truth, He is going to show us things to come, He will take what Jesus is saying and will speak it to us.’ Then He said in verse 14, ‘He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is mine, and declare it to you.’ Every time the Holy Spirit speaks, when He takes what Jesus is speaking and speaks it to us, Jesus Christ is glorified. ‘He will glorify me, for He will take what is mine, and declare it to you.’ So, the declarations of the Holy Spirit, the testimony of the Spirit of prophecy always glorifies Jesus. The Spirit of prophecy always gives testimony to Jesus Christ and exalts Him and furthers His kingdom and purposes, that is a very simple test. Many times, people give prophecy that really elevates the individual, God is going to do this and that in your life and makes that person feel very good and you are almost wondering if that prophecy glorifying Jesus or is it exalting the person! Of course, it is good to call out the things that God wants to do and going to do in the life of that person, it is always good, it brings edification and encouragement but ultimately Jesus Christ must be glorified. It is not for the glorification of an individual, either the recipient or the communicator of the prophecy or the organization or whoever is doing it. Every true prophecy, the bible says, the Spirit of prophecy is the testimony of Jesus. The testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of prophecy and every prophecy will glorify Jesus. We ask that basic question, is the Lord Jesus glorified through this prophecy, that what this prophecy says will accomplish and happen, is Jesus glorified?? If Jesus is not glorified, then better on it, better pause on it, maybe you may have to discard that prophecy, but if the Lord Jesus is glorified and His kingdom is furthered and His name is exalted, then run with it because that is what the Holy Spirit does. Let’s pray, Father, we thank you for all the instruction we’ve received this week. May we your people, be discerning, we can test the things we hear, we can receive what is truly of you and discard what is not of you, if it comes out of human thought and energy, even demonic powers, to reject those things and a walk which truly comes from the Holy Spirit, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
