Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Greetings and thank you for joining us today for our time in the word of God and prayer. This week, we are learning about how to test personal prophecy and prophetic words that are given to us at a personal level. Today, we want to learn about the fact that the question that we should ask is, does this personal prophecy move me in God’s will, plan, and purpose for my life? Is this prophecy helping me move further along in the will and the plan and purpose of God for my life or is it a sudden detour? Is it a sudden deviation from that? If the prophecy is causing you to suddenly deviate from what God has been speaking to you all along, you’ve got to be very careful. Why do we say that? The bible tells us in Ephesian chapter 2, verse 10, that ‘God has prepared beforehand the works that we should walk in.’ God knew well in advance the things He wants us to do and He has bene speaking that to us. As believers, we are listening to Him, journeying with Him and He has been guiding us along step-by-step into the works that He has prepared for us. Like it says in 1 Corinthians chapter 2, verses 9 and 10, ‘things that He has prepared for us, in verse 10 he says, HE reveals them to us by His Spirit.’ So, God has been speaking all along by His holy Spirit and leading you into His plan and purpose, taking you along in a certain direction. Any prophetic word that comes along through whoever should help us move further along in the things God has prepared for us. suppose, there is a word that suddenly causes you to deviate from that, then you will have to question it. Why is there a sudden change? Did God ell you in advance that such and such a change is coming into your life, getting you ready for it? Otherwise, if suddenly, it is like a word out of the blue, I’m not saying that God cannot do that but you will have to verify and test that very carefully before you act on the word. The fourth test is simply this, does the personal prophecy move me along in God’s will, plan and purpose for my life? Because God is speaking to you about the things He has prepared for you and every prophetic word is going to only help you move further along I His plan for your life. If there is a word that suddenly interrupts that, test it very carefully. Let’s pray together, Father, we thank you that you are at work in our lives, you are ordering our steps into the things that you’ve planned for us beforehand, that you are revealing these things to us by your Spirit, things which eyes have not seen, which ears have not heard, which man has not even imagined which you have prepared for us, you are leading us into them by your Spirit. Help us to discern any and every prophetic word that may come to us, to take what is yours, to be encouraged by it, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
