Daily Devotional church in Bangalore

Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Hello everyone, hope everything is going great at your end. We are talking about trusting in the Lord, particularly through this season of exams. Today, I want to remind us that God is a relational God. God is interested in your life and my life. We see in the Bible that He has designed something known as prayer. Prayer is talking to God and God wants us to talk to Him. How is it possible for us to reach God with our prayers? We know that the Lord Jesus has come, He has paid the price on the cross for us, He has redeemed us, He has made a way to the Father and which is why we are able to have access to God. We can boldly go into God’s presence and we can be heard by our mighty God. Prayer is something that God has designed, He wants us to talk to Him, He wants us to share our hearts and no matter what we are going through, sometimes, as we study and give our exams, we are so happy with the results but then there are other times where things don’t go the way we have planned, so there is some sadness and confusion. So, whether we are going through a happy phase or a challenging phase, we can talk about it to God. Philippians chapter 4, verses 6 to 7 has this to say, ‘Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.’ God is sort of calling us for an exchange, He is saying, we may have anxious thoughts, we may have questions, we may have concerns, we maybe carrying burdens, no matter what it is, we may have requests, supplications is that, an earnest petition unto God; so, whatever we have with thanksgiving, we can share that with God. We can tell God of all these things; we can talk to Him about all these things. So, we make these request known to God. What do we get in turn? We are told that God’s peace that surpasses all understanding, so God firstly grants us peace, that helps us stay anchored and calm through our journey and it also talks about peace which surpasses all understanding. Sometimes, we don’t understand why things happened a certain way, but even when we don’t understand, we can experience the peace of God. How are we going to experience it unless we talk to God about the things which are on our hearts? I just want to encourage us, everyday take sometime to talk to God, take some time to thank the Lord, adore Him, worship Him, take sometime to read His word. We see in James chapter 4, verse 8, ‘Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.’ These are the ways, prayer, studying the word of God and we can experience God so closely in very season of our lives. Let’s pray together, Heavenly Father, we thank you that you are a prayer answering God. I pray that those of us who are going through anxiety and confusion, even as we reach out to you, let your peace flood our lives. We rebuke every storm in the name of Jesus, let your presence and your mighty works be very real, in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
