Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Hi everyone, welcome to Living Supernaturally. Thank you once again for this opportunity to minister God’s word and pray together. This week, we are talking about confession and today, we look at the prayer of confession. Ezra chapter 9, verses 5 and 6, ‘I rose from my self-abasement, with my tunic and cloak torn, and fell on my knees with my hands spread out to the Lord my God and prayed.’ The leaders of Israel approached Ezra with bad news. While building God’s house, Israel was still following their own desires, everyone was guilty. The leaders and officials were leading the people of Israel in an unfaithful living. Discouraged, Ezra wanted to walk away from all the hard work he had done but he chose a better way. He fell on his knees and prayed. First, Ezra admitted his sins and the sins of his people. Then he recounted the Lord’s faithfulness and confessed that the people of Israel have failed to apply God’s word to their daily lives and have lived as an unholy generation. They have mixed with people around them and have accepted their detestable practices that is the worship of other gods, immorality went with it, perverse sexual relationships, child sacrifices, occult practices and much more. 1 John chapter 1, verse 9 says, ‘If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.’ One of our classic spiritual disciplines is confession. We usually use that word to mean, we admit our sinfulness. Confession has often been reduced to a cover up phrase, forgive me of all my sins. But when we make a blanket statement about sins, we have not really advanced in our conversation with God. God is willing to hear us speak about our wrongs. He is willing to recall the things that we have done wrong, places that we have disobeyed, things that we have said and done that have been unrighteous in His eyes. The practice of confession is counter intuitive. We naturally believe that if we start to name all our offenses, we fall into a pit, but that is not so. As believers, when we confess, He comes and God extends His grace to cover up all our faults. Jesus doesn’t toss us aside or throw us out like thrash. He is willing to forgive us and redeem us and bring us to a life that is full of His power and working of His Spirit. Are there sins that you and I need to confess? Let’s do it today when we have the opportunity to do so and have faith that His blood will forgive us of all unrighteousness. Let us pray, Father, we thank you for this time, your word and for teaching us to be transparent and open in confessing our sins. We thank you that we can run to your presence and we know that you will hear our prayers. We pray for a greater measure of your grace upon our lives, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
