Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Greetings and welcome to Living Supernaturally. Thank you so much for giving us this opportunity to come together and spend a few moments in God’s word and prayer. This week, we are talking about a heart of praise and how through every season that God takes us through, you and I as believers can walk with a heart of praise. Let’s read Psalm chapter 103, verses 1 through 6, ‘Praise the LORD, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. Praise the LORD, my soul, and forget not all his benefits— who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.’ The prayer of giving praise, glory and adoration is something that we must have practice in. It can take some effort from our part but as many things, the more we practice adoring God, the easier it gets. And we begin by simply praying verses of scripture that show us how awesome God is. Jesus taught us to pray, ‘Father, hallowed be your name’; recognizing God’s character of being holy, majestic, all powerful, sovereign over all things and the source of true wisdom and love. It is important to remember that prayer should begin with praising and honoring God, recognizing all that God has done and God is doing in our lives, this is often called adoration of God. Too often in prayer, before we give God glory and honor, we ask God to give us something or to do something for us or the lives of our loved ones. King David, who in some bible translations is called Israel’ singers of songs and the sweet psalmist of Israel, wanted to make sure that God’s people will continue to worship the Lord in song, once the temple was built. So, he appointed 4000 Levites to praise the Lord of which 288 were skilled in the use of musical instruments. Churches around the world carry out this tradition today as they gather together to worship God. Some use wonderful organs and skilled organist, others use electronic guitars and keyboards and drums and still others prefer to use only voices to worship God. Whatever means we use, let our praise be heartfelt and filled with joy and sincerity. We can read a passage like Psalm chapter 103 out loud for example, as we prayerfully say these verses about God’s greatness. It doesn’t take long before we actually experience the glory of God. Our prayer moves from talking to God, to enjoying the presence of God. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord! Let’s pray, Father, we thank you, for creating us for a purpose, to praise you, to worship you and all creation does the same Lord. We bow down in adoration to give you glory and honor. We pray that our lives will give you glory and honor through every season, that we will learn and practice to praise you, we thank you, in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
